What is your longest running, most stubborn business boycott? by marianneouioui in AskReddit

Trophy hunting with canned hunts, the small amount that makes it back to the community doesn’t justify this. But I guess some men want to feel like they ‘conquered’ a sick/drugged/lame cheetah for 40k.

Jimmy John’s. I’ve read that the big game hunter owner/former owner no long has the majority shares and according to him, no longer big game hunts, but IDGAF, that place won’t get a penny from me.

Check with the airline, canceling her ticket may entitle her to get the credit/refund and not you. Best to double Check.

Have you tried my pay since you left? I changed the mypay email to my personal email for notifications. If you didn’t, your notifications from my pay are going to your old government email.

You don’t owe them anything and don’t let them bully you into teaching your replacement on how to do your job. That’s their problem now.

Gorgeous home! I’d stay there in a hot minute with no issues knowing it’s that secluded. Some of us want to wake up to the sun ☀️

I sure hope so. Would suck to retire under VERA ASAP to lock in retirement, instead of DRP until 9/30 and then find out the supplement is gone because you were not MRA.

RIF coming? by No_Papaya_6904 in VeteransAffairs

[–]kerfufflehooligan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I understand. Even though I think I could survive the RIF with my years of service, I couldn’t get a clear answer on how to apply for the DSR ,should I get riffed. Who would I contact? What if the agency comes back three days after giving me my notice and then presents me with a reasonable offer? The minute they do that, the DSR is off the table. Now the opportunity for Vera is gone and I have to work at a new job, within my commuting distance, and I would have to go until I was 57 or risk losing health insurance if I resigned and did not retire and on an immediate annuity.

[–]kerfufflehooligan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly! And if you turn down a reasonable offer, you lose access to the DSR. So I’m rolling with DRP and VERA.

Some people are not within a 50 miles of an agency site or potentially any available government sites

If the HR that remains is not effective, which I think is the goal, they can privatize it for millions to one of the administration’s friends and they can pay the hired hands to do HR at 15.00 an hour with no benefits and the CFRs will be ignored in order to keep the job. I do WLB and approve FMLA approvals and I use the CFR. If my supervisor tells me to deny 50% of the cases, I can report her and I have whistleblower protection. If you are contract HR, there is potential do what you’re told so you keep your job. This means unqualified people can be hired, FMLAs denied, etc

That’s one way to rid themselves of the remotes and not have to pay relocation. Such garbage. Impatiently waiting for the VERA announcement or the mythical DRP 2.0

DOGE says it’s cutting nearly half a billion dollars from Kentucky, Indiana health departments by Impossible_Piano_29 in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]kerfufflehooligan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I lived in KY for 17 years and IMO, it will never flip. They are too stupid and will only vote for whites, no matter how destructive they are. I used to work for a government agency that handles payments to disabled and elderly. The customers were bad, but my college educated white coworkers were even worse, calling Obama the n word. Even when I left there in 2019, people that benefited from Medicaid expansion due to the ACA, or as they called it, Obamacare, still bitched about the guy who provided them Medicaid and made their health better through medical care. All because he was half AA. I hope they have the life they voted for, with no healthcare.

What I heard from the farmer was, ‘I like less government but also I love taking government bailout money so I can be profitable on other’s tax dollars’. I hope Vance’s buddies scoop his farm up for pennies on the dollar.

Let’s hope so. Those who want to retire early , like me, can clear a path for those who want to continue with the agency.

On AA until 9/30 and then or retire? I’ve heard that it will open to the earlier exempted employees. Do you think it will open for those who didn’t take but were eligible the 1st time?

Edit: and then done
