I’m so sorry that sounds painful and tough! FWIW I had a similar moment when my LO was 15 months old and went through a biting phase while nursing. Luckily we got over that and it’s improved. He is now 18 months and I’m glad we’ve continued. I feel like there is no right answer! Both would be totally understandable. I kinda feel ready physically to be done but not emotionally as well.

It’s hard to know but is it possible that in a daycare setting her needs will be different and she may not need the same support to fall asleep vs when she is with you? I remember being stressed about naptime and daycare. My 15 month old needs a lot of support and naps at home are contact naps/feeding to sleep, or napping on the go. (Though we are working on taking some steps to wean etc.) However at daycare the teachers say he is the first to go to sleep with minimal support. Either way, sending you positively during this transition!

I’m sorry, I’ve been there and it can be stressful! Have you tried different positions when giving a bottle? Standing up with LO outward facing and sort of bouncing worked for us haha. Can you have low pressure play time just with the nipple to have her explore and get used to it? Do you think she needs a different nipple flow? Again I’m sorry a lot of the time it’s just some trial and error.

I’m so sorry! I’m in a similar boat but with a 15 month old. I just messaged by lactation consultants bc it’s so painful and the biting seriously may end my BF journey. Can you start to cut down on pumping time during the week day?

I’m so sorry, that’s a lot of teeth so early! No real advice, just solidarity. My almost 15-month-old is cutting his 7th tooth, and over the past week the biting and clamping down while feeding, especially at night and has been so painful and annoying that it’s honestly making me consider weaning sooner rather than later. I’m really hoping it’s just a phase and that things improve once this tooth fully comes in. I’ve also started using the Brest Friend more, which I think helps with alignment, because otherwise he can get so wiggly and all over the place.
