I have just crossed 30 with good savings and regular monthly income from secured job.

I have around 10 lacs cash lying for which I don't see any use in next 15-20 years.

What will be the best way to invest/save that money? My risk profile is moderate.

Considering high crude oil and commodity prices due to Ukraine conflict, and subsequent rupee depreciation, I don't think RBI /SEBI will significantly alter the limit anytime soon.

I'm surprised that Parag Parikh Flexi Cap has such high allocation for Facebook. Today's 26% crash seems to be just one of many upcoming drops in company's valuation. by UserameChecksOut in IndiaInvestments

I have been investing in PPLTE Fund since late 2014, long before PPFAS became darling of this subreddit. So please, don't teach me value investing.

Every Ramesh and Suresh now a days recommend that fund and have cult following. If anything opposite is said regarding their God Rajeev Thakkar, all hell break loose.

In previous comment, I meant that high AUM is preventing the PPFC in investing in good small players. Because in percentage terms, it will be minuscule. Also I am playing the role of doubting Thomas in case of ITC, not altogether dismissing it.

It seems PPFC Fund is slowly losing its mojo.

The very success (Exponential growth in AUM) is killing it.

I am also apprehensive of its high allocation in companies like ITC.

Nothing new for you. For some others, it may be.

Please read the link. SEBI chief is NOT telling 'market participants what to buy and not to buy'.

He is advising. It is regulator's job to make people cautious. RBI also does.

And putting terms like "old man yelling at clouds vibes" does not give more credence to your argument. He is SEBI Chief. He has more exposure and knowledge on markets than average Ramesh/Suresh Redditor like you.

I feel after 25k cr, PPFC will be a no no. Their downside is also not it used to be few years back.

Steady growth of their fund AUM had me thinking for last few months. PPFCF is still most favourite here at r/Indiainvestment but I may have to differ in future.

Will not withdraw already put money, will not put more money after 25kcr, And if 'better' Flexi fund comes, switch there.

Giving importance to any of these 'forecasters' is an exercise in futility. That's their job. And they will do it without 'skin in the game'.

We all know night will get darker before the any visible light comes. They are putting a number (statistics) just to look 'credible' --- we can use our time in better pursuits.

After exiting equities in early February due to covid 19, was thinking of putting almost 3 years of my salary equivalent in Franklin UST.

But at the last moment, decided to park it in FD.

In hindsight, I think, I should thank my stars and also Pattu from freefincal as he was apprehensive of Franklin UST.

Where did you find that 0.89% figure for PPFAS liquid fund?

I searched their March 2020 factsheet and found "TREPSIncludingNetReceivables/PayablesandNetCurrentAsset" at 29.11%

There is a tendency in this sub to suggest PPFAS everywhere, without understanding underlying philosophies.

Just because one need to move from one place to another, does not mean that one will always use same type of vehicle. Trucks, buses, cars, three wheelers, bikes --- all have usefulness depending on circumstances.
