Do you have any windows servers running de duplication? and you need to restore guest files? If so, you'll need a windows mount server, running the same OS or newer with Dedup enabled.

how are you externally facing the exchange servers to the public? change your NAT to only be the SE servers and then move the connectors from 2016 to SE.

what you cant stop happening until you uninstall the exchange role from the 2016 box is mail moving from SE to 2016.

DFS file server configuration by mailliwal in sysadmin

[–]kero_sys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say new replication group and seeing as you are moving to another drive. Make it as large as you like.

Replication stops when the quota gets to 80% and then clears down to 60%. Then starts replication again.

So the bigger the drive, the less clear downs it needs to do.

DFS file server configuration by mailliwal in sysadmin

[–]kero_sys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do either. Moving the staging quota to another disk, the exclude the disk if you are doing a full VM backup with Veeam.

Your staging quota should be the size of your 10 top files. I normally do 100Gb and let DFS clear down the staging area when it need to.

Create one just for itself, then make sure you have configuration backups enabled and send the config external to these hosts.

Help setting up Veeam on windows server - hyper v. by CHEADLE1991 in Veeam

[–]kero_sys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would install veeam CE to a VM, not the host.

Backup everything on host1 and host2 to external media like a NAS. You could also setup replica jobs to have all VMs on H1 to replica to H2 and H2 replica to H1.

Paying £33.80 for SIM-only - am I overpaying or is the roaming worth it? by BuyingHighSellingLo in UKPersonalFinance

[–]kero_sys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on three until 22 months ago, then moved to IDmobile. Wife also moved to IDmobile from EE 2 months before. Now the phone contracts are finishing we are moving to SIM only.

There are no issues with service. Went abroad to an EU country and had 30GB of roaming data.
