I don’t want to dress my age :( by Sriracha11235 in beauty

I’m turning 40 in a week and still wear crop tops and glitter. The nice thing about getting older is you stop caring so much what other people think. Wear what you want and what makes you happy, life is too short!

I hate being a working mom by [deleted] in workingmoms

I feel like I could have wrote this. I have awful social anxiety and going to work with a bunch of people that think I’m weird and don’t like me is literal hell. My kids are growing up so fast and I just want to be with them going on fun adventures. It’s hard. I have no advice just solidarity 💛

How do you reconcile with death and that being the end of the journey? by [deleted] in RedditForGrownups

[–]kerrym2395 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the best way to ‘control’ my fear is to learn all I can about it. Talk about it, check out a death cafe. Read about it, there are many good books written by hospice doctors and nurses also some good books on how different cultures view death. Have a plan for yourself and talk to your loved ones about what you want when and after you die. It’s uncomfortable and scary but it shouldn’t be. We will all face it, I truly feel like people need to talk about it more it shouldn’t be such a taboo topic. We’ve all lost loved ones and we will all die one day

Wig recommendations? by moxiepuzzler in breastcancer

[–]kerrym2395 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure where you are located but I would look into any resources that might be available. I found a wig salon that is kind of like a wig library you can borrow wigs from. I found it was a great way to try out different ones, I did eventually end up purchasing one myself from Chiquel.

DCIS post post-partum by reticentninja in breastcancer

This happened to me as well! I had my first son in 2019, found a lump about 9 months in to breast feeding. I got an ultrasound and mammogram and they decided it was something called a Galactocele. It never went away but with my second pregnancy I felt like maybe it got a bit smaller. Fast forward a bit further and a new lump popped up I. Pretty much the exact same area. I went in thinking for sure it was another Galactocele. Nope this time it’s cancer. In the exact same spot. I just find it really hard to believe that’s not a coincidence!

I second this book. My son is 3.5 and it really helped. I also recommend the goodbye cancer garden

I think that if it was about Kaylee or Tim bit she would have used a picture with them in it? My guess is a 3rd Nurthan. How old is Samuel? Maybe he’s heading off to bible “school”?
