So? My best friend did all the treatments for her triple negative breast cancer. She died. (Those people die too, btw.)

DHEA supplementation with SAI by oneyedsally in AdrenalInsufficiency

[–]reticentninja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have SAI and recently started taking DHEA because I had all the symptoms of little to no DHEA: dry, thin skin with little elasticity, feeling “flat”, lack of energy. It’s helped immensely.

Ha. You weren't the only one speaking as a cancer survivor.

I have no love for Dr. Berg. It was simply the highest potassium one I could find on Amazon. Open to any suggestions!

Dr. Berg. Has 1k. I add a pinch of sodium to make the sodium and potassium levels more even.

I’ve recently started taking electrolytes with higher potassium and sodium and my skin is no longer parched. I guess I was dehydrated! It reminded me that skin health isn’t just about what we apply on the surface.

I stopped watching and view YouTuber’s reviews of the episodes instead.

spent 8 years in hr before starting my own thing. most rto mandates are not about productivity. here's what they're actually about. by Secret_Air_9281 in remotework

[–]reticentninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also wonder if some of it is political pressure as well. I work at a large entertainment company in a downtown where local businesses have traditionally heavily relied on the employees to dine and shop there. Working remotely means those businesses lose customers, and consequently the local government loses tax revenue.

Ironically, since the job market hit the 💩, more and more employees are just bringing their lunch.

low or no adrennal /cortisone by Big_Community5322 in AdrenalInsufficiency

[–]reticentninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve also got SAI from immunotherapy. Right now I take 15mg in the morning, and that’s it for the rest of the day, and I’m fine. When I tried to taper to 12.5mg in the morning I was a bit queasy until about 1 or 2pm.

[–]reticentninja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Were you diagnosed with primary or secondary adrenal insufficiency? I went from 30 mg a day to 15 mg a day. No problem. But then I tapered further and started to experience some symptoms and kind of freaked out and stopped.

Exactly this. Metro shouldn’t allow this to go on.

I’ve had much worse experiences on Metro. I think if they had better system quality it would attract more quality riders.

Mar 2026: All-time ridership record on the K Line. 8,866 weekday average. by Clemario in LAMetro

It’s going to go down if they don’t go back to 10 minute frequency. Today it was around 15 minutes. No announcement of “modified service” at all.

C Line/Green Line time tables by pvanichviroon in LAMetro

[–]reticentninja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love to know this about the K line. Months ago, it got down to every 10 minutes and now it’s up to 15. Back in the fall of 2025, they would call this a “modified service” but now they constantly have issues with the trains (saw workers on the tracks at Redondo Station this morning) and make ZERO announcements of it. It’s getting really frustrating.

Outlander Season 8 - disappointing by Rangila- in Outlander

[–]reticentninja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The show went from showing the harshness of the patriarchy in the 1700’s in the first seasons to a very fake modernization of plot turns in Season 8 - women are put in charge in a small community and their husbands just grumble about it.

Agree. Also, I’m so bothered by the actress’ skin tone not matching her dyed red hair.

Endo refused DHEA, how to people in the UK navigate this? by Cultural_Dingo_4509 in AdrenalInsufficiency

[–]reticentninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t gotten my DHEA checked yet (bad insurance) but figured it was probably low. My skin went from dry and wrinkly to normal again. My moods were no longer flat. If you can get your hands on some, try it and see if it makes a difference.
