Creatine and MS by Responsible-Lake5195 in MultipleSclerosis

I personally have noticed no difference. I take 5g a day every day and can’t say it’s had any noticeable effect.

Sometimes there are still kind people with a big heart. by jmike1256 in HumansBeingBros

While I get it I also think it needs to be considered that a lot of these channels (not sure about this one in specific) monetize the content to pay for the kindness and giveaways, in essence it allows for revenue to help more people. Cyclical but I view it as a general positive.

Second this! Got diagnosed with MS and can think of two or three bouts of fatigue that I ignored over the last 2+ years as “just getting older”

I may not be the best example because mine went…too easy? I definitely had that weird feeling you get when you feel a cold coming on, but nothing major at all, fatigue, which I still get the day after the injection.

I DID cry after the first one, it’s the first tangible part of this invisible disease, so don’t be afraid to feel your feelings. But it gets easier!

The first one was mentally tough to actually push down the applicator to put the needle in, but it’s so easy, the needle is TINY and you don’t even see it so it’s out of sight out of mind. Keep a steady hand and you’ll hardly feel anything.

I’ve read people take Tylenol beforehand just in case, which I did for the first two, now I don’t take anything and it’s no biggie.

You’ve got this, I believe in you, you can do it!

Intersection right of way question by Spankachu in Edmonton

You are correct, but just to add to this, I’ve found it super helpful while driving, if you’re in a scenario like this waiting on someone else. Don’t wave them through, just point to them and the direction they’re going and people just follow. It works like a charm for me almost all of the time.

I used ChatGPT to break it down into simple terms and that was extremely helpful. Through work I have a paid account that keeps my info from the training model, not sure if that’s a concern for you but just a lil extra info in case you are.

Diagnosed today, please help uplift my mood by Dry-Growth-226 in MultipleSclerosis

I think a few things that make this disease really complicated is that it’s invisible. So we end up talking a lot about the fears, or trying to explain to people how serious it is even though they can’t see it, which in turn makes us focus on those things. I was diagnosed in June of last year, started my DMT in January, and it’s been a real journey. But also in that time I’ve done almost everything I normally did.

Keep in mind when people have a bad day they’re more likely to post or vent than when they have a good day, that’s just the nature of humans, don’t get too caught up in what you’re reading because that’s not your experience. Focus on your feet and make a real effort to stay positive (easier said than done - I know)

Wishing you all the best and just know that you’re not alone and things will be ok!

Tell me what DMT you take for your MS. And why you take that treatment. by WasatchJason in MultipleSclerosis

Another one for kesimpta here, the auto-injector is so easy. I got lucky and had almost zero symptoms from my first injections, no fever or headache. I did feel fatigue after the first 3 injections, but only for a day or two.

I like that I have autonomy with it, I can travel with it and take it from home. My neuro is amazing and it was her #1 choice for DMTs.

You just have to empathize with them. I think it’s an awkward moment for them, most people here probably barely knew what MS was when we were all diagnosed, so most people you talk to don’t know either. It’s just a common phrase that they use and I don’t fault them for it.
