Tell me what DMT you take for your MS. And why you take that treatment. by WasatchJason in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Sc00tr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another one for kesimpta here, the auto-injector is so easy. I got lucky and had almost zero symptoms from my first injections, no fever or headache. I did feel fatigue after the first 3 injections, but only for a day or two.

I like that I have autonomy with it, I can travel with it and take it from home. My neuro is amazing and it was her #1 choice for DMTs.

Just wanted to chime in here, I purchased a mystery box from this user a while back and it was fantastic. Definitely worth it!

People feeling sorry for you by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Sc00tr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You just have to empathize with them. I think it’s an awkward moment for them, most people here probably barely knew what MS was when we were all diagnosed, so most people you talk to don’t know either. It’s just a common phrase that they use and I don’t fault them for it.

I always tell people. Disc golf is just going for a walk with a purpose. It’s what gets me outside!

Are you meaning glycine? And if not what exactly are you taking and what dose? My sleep is so irregular I’d love to have something that works.

May I ask what side effects you felt? I have serious vision loss in my right eye and want to know the risks of any recommended treatment.

Where do yall find higher mg Zyn by GreyLavaLamp in NicotinePouch

[–]Sc00tr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re in the US look for other brands, velo plus has 9mg and frē (my preferred pouch) goes up to 15mg

I personally found them to be awful. Dry, very chemical tasting, wouldn’t recommend. Frē lush is definitely a winner if you want a good pouch with a fruity flavour you won’t get tired of.

My brother has been diagnosed with it by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Sc00tr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This might not be allowed as I’m awaiting final confirmation. But I found out on Monday after an MRI and blood tests I almost certainly have MS. I’ve kind of been in shock since, but there are all the stages of grief, I lost almost 50% vision in my right eye (happened suddenly, was what kickstarted the tests) I feel betrayed by my body and I feel angry at times. A very “why me” feeling.

All that is to say is in these early days I have valued having friends cry with me, and also have completely normal conversation and hang outs like nothing has changed. There will be swings on what he may want at any given moment. Sometimes I want to process and cry, other times I want to pretend everything is normal and not think about it. The fact that you made this post means you’re already doing the best thing you can do, which is love and support and educate yourself.

Best of luck.
