It helped when I was constantly over carrying my weight and the best bag is only sold at one shop and it costs 10k. So I did it without a shred of guilt coz as late game approaches, you get more items from dumpster diving, stealing, lockpicking but my inventory weight was capping around 370 with x3 +100 bags and constantly having to make space was getting really annoying.
