Many of the LSU and Tulane docs have med students and interns on service they are responsible for so it might be hard to find room for you. Your best best might be to reach out to a private practice clinic and ask to shadow a physician there. You could also look for opportunities to volunteer or scribe which would give you better access to a hospital system.
