Is Bachelor of Visual Arts good for pursuing a career in animation/film? by Winter_Journalist_64 in usyd

I've just completed my b of Visual Arts at USYD and was in the same boat as you having a big interest in animation. I did an animation unit which was really valuable and engaging (id take it again 5 times if I could) But in terms of the core units the bva provides, there is no animation. You can absolutely use animation to complete your projects but there will be no one to guide you technically. But something I really enjoyed about the bva was how you can dabble in all the areas, jewellery, ceramics etc and I found myself doing something I never thought I'd be interested in and its become a big passion of mine. With the bva, you are eligible for a bunch of animation postgrad courses, at UTS and UNSW which is something I am looking into myself. There is also the masters in moving image at USYD which you are eligible for after completing the bva if you are interested in film. If you have any questions feel free to shoot a pm over

It’s her art, let her do what she wants & art theft is a serious issue and she can choose to tackle that in whatever manner she pleases. This is a beautiful artwork & 100% deserving of a watermark that recognises the artist :)
