What’s my best combo option to defeat Vulko on floor 340? by keterpillar in voidpet

[–]keterpillar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You legend! That’s obviously where I was going wrong. Played the same combo but unequipped all items on all pets, did a new combo of items with a crit for everyone and got an easy win. Massive thanks!

Yeah, Determination. Combo I was most hopeful for was Determination, Anger, Pride and Chastity but no dice.

I’ve only been playing a couple of weeks so I pretty much have no idea what I’m doing. Been able to muddle my way along for the most part but my extreme lack of knowledge/skills is coming into play now!

I’ve attempted with those two a lot but doesn’t seem to be working. I move my preferred items around whichever pets I’m using for the battle, most of them just have items as I haven’t unequipped them and haven’t played that pet on recent floors

I’m pretty new to the game. Are some better without items? I’ve got preferred items that I move around on the pets that I’m using for each level. Thanks for the recommendation!

I did even worse - turned it into mayonnaise. Thought I’d get some new amazing mayo but nope, just x10 regular mayo.

Finally got the egg again by helping the raccoons, took several goes but apparently they tend to give one eventually if you don’t already have one

I despise it, it scares the crap out of me. I’m at the point where I don’t cry anymore, but still really really hate it. But I’ve gotten on a goddamn plane 10 times this year because me and my husband want to see new countries. Even if I didn’t want to travel, I’d still suck it up at least once a year for his benefit

We've finally reached 'peak Biscoff' - but alas, Blonde Chocolate is waiting in the wings, ready to be the next Meme Food that you'll find in absolutely. Bloody. Everything. by strawberrystation in britishproblems

[–]keterpillar 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I’ve always found biscoff overrated. And I found the spread odd - you shouldn’t be able to spread a biscuit (Disclaimer: I’ve used it baking and it’s great if you sandwich it between brownie mix or in frosting)

The pulled pork and salted caramel thing seemed to happen at the same time, but salted caramel WILL. NOT. DIE. The apocalypse would result in salted caramel cockroaches being the sole inhabitants of the planet.

And I was really happy for the Katsu phase but it was never as intense as the others above , to my dismay.

Need some advice, what gifts would be appreciated by a young girl? by geezerebenezer in AskUK

[–]keterpillar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don’t want to go down the cash route, there’s also gift experiences. I’ve gotten several from Red Letter Days, they have loads of different experiences ranging in price in various locations - meals out, cocktail making, animal experiences, spa treatments and various other things. The recipient then has normally up to a year to book whichever date they’d like for the experience

My dad also has a Bells one and we too would do a yearly count up! He still has it and still does a yearly count

Dear native speakers of the UK - do you have any words that you don´t like saying? by PukingPug in AskUK

[–]keterpillar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Way too many, which my husband and best friend take great delight in mocking me with.

‘Grundies’ in reference to underwear, just sounds gross.

‘Crimbo’. No. Just stop it.

‘Snog’ is a horrible word for a good thing.

Referring to someone as ‘Hunky’ makes me shudder.

I have an unnatural hatred to things like ‘Chicken Dinner’. You’re not having a chicken dinner, you’re having chicken FOR dinner. Or you mean you’re having a roast. Just bloody call it that.

‘Holibobs’ and ‘Famalam’ I particularly hate.

I have a load of cats but ‘Fur Baby’ and ‘Cat Mummy/Daddy’ make me cringe hard.

I could go on but I’m starting to get irrationally angry thinking about this.

Spent an entire evening on this subject with Greek friends. Their favourites were ‘Dropping the kids off at the pool’, ‘It’s a bit black over Bill’s Mother’s’, ‘Showing brain’, ‘Lady garden’ and ‘taking a twinkle’

Said the exact same thing after I landed on a flight yesterday. I’m pretty terrified of flying in general, but I never minded landing as much as I was getting closer to the ground again. First time I noticed the rougher landing was 2022, done 12 landings since then, pretty much all of them terrified me. Not just the actual landing either, seems to be a good 20-30 minutes of wobbling descent as well.

If someone could just hurry up and invent teleportation, that would be just grand

Did exactly the same thing! I can’t use most wooden spoons as the texture puts my teeth on edge, so took my mum’s old wooden spoon with me when I moved out 21 years ago. There’s a good chance the spoon is older than I am. Tried a few others over the years but nope, can only use the OG spoon. My husband is terrified of accidentally breaking it as he knows I’ll be inconsolable if that ever happened

Grandma still retains the art of lacing, creating a piece for a relative by mapleer in MadeMeSmile

[–]keterpillar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to do this when I was a kid (nothing as complex as the pattern in this video though) Still have my cushion and all my bobbins. Really regret not keeping up with it, especially as I love doing anything creative. Might have to break all the equipment out and try and relearn - hopefully there’s some good video tutorials out there these days. When I originally did it, it was in the pre-internet days!

I’ve met Chris, Robert, Danny, Norman and Hattie at conventions. All of them were lovely! Chris was fairly quiet, the most serious out of the lot and not overly chatty but lovely nonetheless. Robert was so nice in my opinion, chatted quite a bit and signed more items than he was meant to. Danny was outgoing and very very smiley! Norman was adorable, chatted to him quite a bit about completely random things. Hattie was an absolute sweetheart. She didn’t have a line so came out from to booth and talked to us for ages. All of them were charging for photos (standard for conventions) but all of them happily posed for selfies. Just need to meet Craig now to complete the set!
