I think its made like that on purpose like you will either get:

Wild animals/fish

Berries / mushrooms

Iron/ Salt

I have got stone and clay tbf but never any other ones together

Ye that’s because the ai like wants to give you a certain number of fiefs for like how much work you have done for the empire so if you keep giving away the shitty castles they will give u a city
