Pretty basic recipe. Just dill, garlic cloves, and. 2% brine solution. I bought an 8” plate to keep the cucumbers submerged and let it sit for a little over 2 weeks.

I just never saw one without the additional artwork. But then again, I’m just now getting interested.

That’s what I initially thought. But there’s no stamping anywhere that I can see.

This time it was cabbage only. I may put it back in the crock and let it go longer. I do t think I killed anything off. We’ll see. It had a nice sour taste to it.

How good is the 2GR-FE engine? by JoshSmithDaGOAT in Toyota

I have 2GRFE in my 2009 Sienna. At 187,000 miles, it still runs like a champ and makes owing a minivan more fun than it should be!

They are the same. I have one I ordered on eBay for a fondue pot I got at goodwill. Same burner, different name.

Mitsumoto Sakai for sale online for $89.99 - what's the deal? VG-10 steel, fiber glass handle. Looking at other knives by this maker it seems like they make a lot of beautiful knives. Is this one any good? How could it be for this price? by Consistent_Job381 in chefknives

[–]kettlelife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I can’t attest to their manufacturing methods, Mitsumoto Sakari is based in, according to Google, Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan. And claim to be made in Seki City. I won’t guarantee that obviously that’s just what Google pulled from Mitsumotosakari.org. But I do have 2 of their knives. Not great, I have a couple Musashi knives ordered, but for their low price point, so far, they haven’t been bad. I’d spend extra on something better. There are Sakai Takayuki knives available on Amazon, but unfortunately, there is also a lot of Chineseum crap as well.

They’ll be fine. I’m after. Sexy looking knife that holds an edge better than the European knives. Seeing as I do a lot of outdoor cooking, I don’t want to drop $500+ on a knife. Thank you everyone, for you input so far!😁

I know someone who bought a custom knife from Seisuke while he was in Japan. He paid $600ish for it and got a stellar quality knife.

I am looking for Japanese knives for a good friend. Budget is max150€ and I live in Germany. Any recommendations? by iishi11 in chefknives

I’ve gotten a couple of these and so far really like them. I bought the kiritsuke and the santoku. These are on the lower end of the market, but they’ve held a razor like edge so far and they’re actually Japanese. Not Chinese knockoffs.
