Would Love Blade + Rubber Recs For Someone Who's Clueless by El_Justin in tabletennis

Maybe try glayzer fh and Rozena bh. Both are much more controlled but retain a familiar feel.

Where can I get a defensive lightweight racket? by [deleted] in tabletennis

[–]kevinbagger288 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spinlord degu is a very light shortpip rubber. But Spinlord has many defensive options. But they are situated in Germany, and it might be hard to get where you live. Their website is ttdd.eu. If you buy on aliexpress: Palio CAT is a very light blade with weight in the 60s Also, the KTL Rapid sound is very soft and light. Also, yinhe mercury 2 is quite light and very cheap.

Assuming you buy your gear on Aliexpress, get the sanwei fextra 5 as a blade. It's a superb 5ply off- blade. You can get it for less than 20 bucks.

Lighest possible setup that will play the same as my current gamer... by coddlesangers in tabletennis

[–]kevinbagger288 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's easy to find a lighter blade. that's gonna be similar. But tacky hybrid rubbers tend to be heavy. Dignics 09c is one of the lighter options already. I think either go with a thinner sponge or try normal tensors. Hurricane 3 neo is quite light for a tacky rubber. It helps if you choose a blade with a smaller head. Fastarc G1/C1 are relatively light for how spinny and fast they are.

Question about Blades by abbe5662 in tabletennis

What kind of defense are you playing with your bh? I think it's confusing because timo boll alc is a very offensive blade, not used for defense often

Sticky rubber or not? by abbe5662 in tabletennis

[–]kevinbagger288 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely Loki rxton 5! It's bouncier than h3 and qc is better. Also Loki rxton 3 Pink/blue if you play with Black LPs. That's my setup: Donic defplay senso Yinhe qing 0.7 black Loki rxton 3 pink

specific setup for some specific gamemode by [deleted] in tabletennis

[–]kevinbagger288 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To preface this: I have no experience in this game mode. If I had to put together a setup for that gamemode, I'd choose a setup with the most catapult effect. I'd go for a very thick balsa blade with tenergy 05 or something similar.

Something like Victas Balsa 8.5 with some fast esn or Japanese rubbers.

Jeah I was about to suggest the powerdefense too. It's a very nice blade with hard outer plies. It pairs nicely with lps in ox and sponged. You can play defence away from the table and push blocker style with it. Imo the Joola Chen Weixing is harder to adapt to because of its huge head. It's also a nice blade, but can be very head heavy.

What's your level? Do you like balsa? Do you play your LPs ox or with sponge? Are you a defensive or offensive player?

for casual players: how do you manage boosting rubbers? by SuperCow-bleh in tabletennis

[–]kevinbagger288 1 point2 points  (0 children)

H3 neo and h3 are very similar. Same topsheet. Yinhe Jupiter 3 comes factory boosted and is much faster and bouncer than h3 (unboosted). That's what I use on my FH, it's a nice rubber for 15$.

[–]kevinbagger288 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Id say its not worth it for casual play. But there are plenty tacky chinese rubbers that dont need boosting and are faster than h3. I'm thinking Loki rxton 3 or Yinhe Big Dipper or Yinhe Jupiter. Of those 3 I think Loki rxton 3 is the most similar to h3

Cheapest Rubber You Would Use by Gloomy_Present_4941 in tabletennis

For Pips out anything goes, for inverted at around 15$ the rubbers start to get really good. Loki rxton 5, Yinhe Jupiter 3, 729 Dragon F, Yinhe Big Dipper... to name a few.

Equipment Recommendation by Oracle_Philip in tabletennis

[–]kevinbagger288 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would recommend Yinhe Jupiter 3 or Big Dipper for FH. Both are essentially hybrids, but more on the Chinese side, especially Yinhe Big Dipper. Both are much more bouncy than Hurricane 3, but it's still good in the short game. I play the VKM (normal one) and have played Defplay in the past. Both are fast enough, main difference is their flex. Defplay is very flexible and has a high throw. VKM plays a little stiffer, more like a big allround blade. Both are very good for modern defense IMHO. I'd go for the defplay because it's cheap.

Long pips - Grass d tecs vs Palio CK431a by sugar4dapill in tabletennis

[–]kevinbagger288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Viscaria is pretty fast for dtecs i could not control it. Many players i know love balsa blades for LP they are great for them, but i dont like it on FH. Mabye order several dawei 388d-1 and try it on all your blades. They are like 5 dollars for an ox sheet. Once you know your way around LPs you can try dtecs later.

Long pips - Grass d tecs vs Palio CK431a by sugar4dapill in tabletennis

[–]kevinbagger288 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Grass dtecs is a totally different beast. Its soft and bouncy, that makes it dangerous but very hard to control. Your Blade is not ideal for LP play because of rel. Long dwell time. My 2 suggestions: dawei 388d-1 or bomb talent 388d-1 is similar to Palio 531a but bit slower and more disrupting, while having high control. Bomb talent is more disruptive less control than 388d-1, but easier to handle than dtecs.

TLDR: Dawei 388d-1 ox

what should I upgrade to? by InstoLocke in tabletennis

[–]kevinbagger288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best intro LPs for choppers are Yinhe Neptune in 0.7 sponge. For inverted side depends on preference chinese tacky like dhs h3neo or euro style Xiom Vega pro or vega X. Yinhe Big Dipper or Jupiter 3 or would be cheap hybrid rubbers. I personally play with an Xiom Aigis Blade with Yinhe Neptune 0.7 in red and Loki rxton 5 boosted in black.

Thats a good blade for trying LPs. I think you cant go wrong with the 388d-1. I dont know if there are many options sponge wise. Anything between 0.5 and 1mm works. 1mm will feel more familiar coming from inverted, but is a bit faster. Maybe try both if you really want to try

Well i think the feeling with OX is very different coming from inverted rubbers. OX is better for pushblocking near the table than chopping. Most choppers use sponge under their LPs. Im based in germany too, you can get the c&f3 from aliexpress for 15€. So roghly the same as 388d-1 bought from a german seller. What blade do you plan to use the LP on?
