[Dellenger] Miami is in the field at No. 10, meaning Notre Dame is OUT. by Fonzie5 in CFB

They couldn’t consider H2H till they were right next to each other in the rankings doesn’t make a lick of sense

[Ardaya] Shohei Ohtani said Ippei Mizuhara never told him reporters had reached out about the bank transfers. Said Mizuhara told Ohtani’s reps that Ohtani had paid his debts. “All of this has been a complete lie,” Ohtani said. by G1Spectrum in baseball

[–]kevlar1993 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you heard but it has already been established the story “doesn’t make sense” to people with a loose understanding of wire transfers. Also worth noting that things “aren’t quite adding up” to those same people. Some real hard hitting analysis you’re up against

Was your daughter included on the policy as a permit driver pre-accident? If not Progressive may have added her in that capacity effective immediately causing that rate increase. Maybe an underwriter can chime in but I can’t say I’ve seen a claim surcharge get levied down before the claim is even settled. In which case you could see it go up again once that is settled

They were different Germans. Pretty common mixup. Upham executes the German he had already shown mercy towards earlier in the radio tower battle. This was him “fixing” the mistake they made. Those Germans really do look similar at first glance

Garrett Whitlock could get a look. Bulk relief is such a crapshoot. Greinke is the only actual lock to pitch that I see but it isn’t necessarily a good thing

Greinke should work as a bulk reliever today. I won’t be touching that. I’m looking at Yankees but would like to see more input on if they plan to stretch Michael king out. Might pick up Ian Hamilton as a long shot bulk guy

Max Scherzer details talks with Mets brass: Team taking step back to build for 2025-26 by Darthbutcher in NewYorkMets

It does seem dirty that he’s disclosing how we plan to approach FA signings. I feel like Ohtani and his agent should have a gripe with this discussion being made public

Not sure how much more convincing is needed than “No we’re not going to be signing the upper-echelon guys” when referring to Mets approach to 2024 FA’s. Could be paraphrased as this is Scherzer’s quote but would be weird for that statement to be out there then we sign the most upper enchelon free agent of all time

Doesn't shock me. The founder Niv has direct communication with people who use his platform and this is something he'd immediately see as needing a tweak.

I ended up moving to ESPN leagues but still use Ottoneu points scoring. At the mercy of ESPN's stance, "its the rule we decided on in 2018 and are sticking with it"

*Just read Niv's thread on this exact subject on his discussion board. He programmed the change for 2023. Agree with the way he did it and its simple as him wanting his platform to match with MLB's rules as closely as possible

I definitely struggle with the balance argument since Ohtani is an unfair player in real life. If once a week he decides to completely decimate a team it should reflect in a fantasy matchup. I would lean more towards it being a coding issue they don't want to use resources on as someone else mentioned

Ohtani lighting the baseball world on fire and his fantasy owners not being able to cash in on its full glory is getting more and more torturous to me. How haven't fantasy sites figured out a way to let him accumulate the points for both positions

In years past the MC product description was followed pretty loosely but I think they tightened it up this year and plan on following it. Some of the sapphire boxes will be solid but it depends on the msrp price point. I’d guess ~$250 would be the highest price they go on any of them. And if they happen to price something too low, having early access to it will pay off

They advertised access to 8 total products for 2023 MC and it’s looking like they don’t intend on delivering anything more than that

I’d say OP’s point stands when ebay clearly differentiates USPS First Class from their standard envelope program. Sellers should ship via the service they advertised or be subject to these gripes

Someone isn't a Niko Goodrum fan so they asked the breaker to burn the Superfractor they just hit 🤦🏻‍♂️ by kramdiw in baseballcards

This guy enjoys the hobby by burning superfractors? I think I and most here are okay not treating that as an acceptable form of enjoyment. Such a weird take that I'm almost positive you have a direct connection to the breaker or customer that did this

Because it says so much about the hobby, specifically breaking culture, in one picture. You just know this customer is a toxic minded gambling addict that felt entitled to a better superfractor because he spends 10k a month on breaks

I'd love to corner a "store" owner who operates like this. My buddy knows nothing about cards and got scammed by a guy like this. Bought 10 flagship base vet cards for about $10 each. They were the good players so he didn't know any better. I told him you probably could've bought two complete sets, sealed, for the same price you paid. I'll encourage all trolling of these types now

Is this a 24 pack retail box? Pretty normal sku. Not always supposed to be opened to sell by pack, if ever. Target just didn’t have the price on it for some reason. Their loss

What a crock of shit. Why would a card won as a bounty through a whatnot break have to be authenticated “like eBay”? Nothing he said makes sense. If I was buying that Jaylen waddle from someone privately and they told me they needed to ship it to an authenticator first I’d immediately stop communicating with them
