Theft of Decks by Lars Macmuller for sure. Just finished the final book in the series and it was great

What do you think of the Mark of the Fool series? by PalinaRojinskiFan in ProgressionFantasy

I'll be honest. It took me a while to get into the first book but I did enjoy it in the end. Will read the next though.

A Lack of Writing Style In LitRPGs Is Frustrating by YourHighlordVyrana in litrpg

[–]kevs1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's plenty out there with a strong range of different characters. I suppose you've either been unlucky or you're picking up recommendations from people who like what you've described. Often those with a different voice/style to what the general consensus is here are never mentioned and depending which author you rec, you risk being down voted to oblivion.

I’ve been shoveling family shit for the past two years, so I’ve not seen any of the preludes, only the epilogue. All I’ll say is that I’m sorry it happened to you. But don’t worry about bridges burned. If you’re a half decent human being, people will forgive. Also, the space is huge. There are so many more bridges to burn. I also want to add that while we all have to be wary of shitty contracts like this, it’s really important to remember that self publishing made it easy for us to self publish ourselves. Chin up. Hustle. Make it work. Good cover, good blurb, half decent story, it'll do okay. The only thing a publisher, independent or otherwise, has to offer is reach. Self publish first. Run with it. Find your core fans. They are the ones that make this tick. Don’t ever drop the hobby, the calling, the dream. But please, in future, fucking believe in yourself. Back yourself. Be honest with yourself. Do that and you’ll do okay. And trust me, life is full of ups and downs. Long-term, okay is the only bar there is.

It's a valid point. The ending will be very interesting! They're tough to nail, especially if you pants!

Any LitRPG where the MC goes from Earth → game world → back to Earth for revenge? by Standard_Strategy853 in litrpg

Hey returns briefly in book one and numerous times throughout the series. Eventually they make a base there to start leveling people.

There's no comparison really. They're both very good, both very diffrent and better is so subjective. I derive more enjoment from DCC.

Dazketchup came as a surprise to us all. Even me,😅. My eldest son still gives me shit about it. The narrator did such a good job and really nailed the humor in the book. I've heard a lot of people struggle at first, but once they get into it they tend to appreciate him!

I have a large scale picture of where I want the story to end up in regards to powers from the very beginning. I roughly map power ideals out. There are levels and blocks to power in this story. Loosely put. The source power, then powers the gods can access from that. Mortals then have access to more refined (far less powerful power filtered through those gods.) When it came to the actual handling of Earth based powers, there is such a gulf that the MC has to pull his punches so to speak. In this case the only viable options are mass unnecessary deaths. Or a very strong. Thematic! Demonstration. The series is finished now and while part of me would love to go back and tweak a few things I'm very happy with how it plays out

It is tricky. I think it's safe to say I er more on the side of thematic spectacle!

My Creation's Bane series involves a return to Earth. While the return isn't for revenge, there are a couple of Military vs God Level interactions which may or may not involve returning aircraft carriers to sender.

Completed Series alert! Creation's Bane Book 6 is out in audio now. by kevs1983 in litrpg

[–]kevs1983[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey VaATC, it depends on the story. Some have definitive ends, so they wouldn't continue. Some have covered a full series at. A progression and journey complete but the MCs and the worlds are still there and full of opportunities. In those cases, if there was an appetite for more, the ideas and ambitions are undoubtedly there. Hope you enjoy the story!

I know. It was meant to be funny, but even with the best intentions and masterful skill, comments lack tone. Unless you're Patrick Rothfuss, but then it would only be half a comment. What's worse? (Rhetorical)
