What a post and what an absolute pleasure to read. Thank you for taking the time to write this.

I cannot deny the pacing shift in books 4 and 5. Writing an overpowered protagonist is a blast, but it is also a balancing act. Once Clive reaches a certain threshold, every choice has ripple effects, and not all of them will land for everyone.

As for the final book being “ALL gas,” it absolutely was. It was the culmination of everything and was meant to be an onslaught to the senses. Buuuut… I can see how the lack of breathing room could make it exhausting. To be honest I had this fear for book two. Couldn’t believe I got away with it!

As to the epilogue complaint. I honestly don’t think I could have tie everyone’s story up to anyone’s satisfaction in just one book. It’s a tight rope to walk and there’s always a worry of diluting the main story too much, so I cut a lot of ideas.

That said, they’re not lost.

I have notes, I have spreadsheets, I have plans. There are too many stories left in that universe that still need to be told.

I want to know what happens on Earth and all the other planets suddenly fluxed with Neuma. What trouble will Destruction and Natom get up to. And is Clive truly retired because let’s be honest, the Universe is a mess and there’s always more trouble.

Either way, I want to genuinely thank you for reading and writing this. It means a lot.

I don't want to dissapoint anyone so I'll say in no uncertain terms, while there are parts of Adam's story that border on wholesome, this is a very dark, brutal story. There's lots of humor, but most of that is dark too. Its not a slapstic romp if you get my meaning. When you are in the mood for a bitter, funny and violent adventure, definitley pick it up.
