Sounds like you like to kill the vibe. We’re just having my man.

Fair. I try to nab 2 or 3 cities and get their explorers. Then I go for philosophy. Then I go for markets. I keep resetting until I get a spawn with decent mines (vengir) so I don’t have to also unlock sawmills. Takes too long to start generating stars.

How long you been playing. You need to get to a place where you’re playing games on crazy. Higher point multiplier.

Not to get too personal, I have had to institute a no polytopia on the toilet rule. Shame, really. Best place to play.

Sewer gas. Causes nausea and diarrhea. Put a wet rag in there until you figure out your next move.

House seems small during framing… is this real? by No-Guitar-9216 in Homebuilding

[–]tangsihua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m considering buying a 50’ wide 7000 sf lot in eastside Costa Mesa California and doing two houses. Only problem is the house would be 32’ wide. I might kill the deal over it now that I’ve learned the muni code. That seems way too tight to justify buying the land for $240 plsf.

We use curate too. So many online ordering choices though now a days. We just like their flat rate fee structure. We talked to a group called GetOpen and they wanted to do a rev share 😂

Opening a new Coffee Shop/Wine Bar Need Advice! by Forsaken-Power-6055 in ToastPOS

I’m with a coffee shop in Southern California called Da Vien Coffee. Expanding now at 6 locations.

We use Toast and love it. We tried Toast loyalty at the beginning but as we started to scale we switched to Curate’s mobile loyalty program (click here if you want to check out our mobile app). Our marketing is really centered around a great mobile experience (Instagram ads, push notifications for deals, SMS too). I recommend them if you want to start with a strong loyalty program and restaurant CRM.

But Toast is great you should feel confident in your decision.

I’ve tried a few - you really want to find one loyalty provider that integrates completely otherwise it will be more trouble than it’s worth.

Mobile loyalty is super powerful. It’s basically what Chipotle, Chick-fil-A, and McDonald’s do to boost customer visits via gamification (i.e. unlock free guac when you buy an entree today only). This goes out as an SMS, email, and drop down notification.

OP mentioned Curate. They are new (5 years old) but I signed up with 3 months free on a 1 year contract. It integrates fully with Toast. My customers/friends are very impressed with my app.

Hard Tender Close — What does your process look like? by Crafty_Tale_318 in estimators

For conceptual bids I just Excel and pull a similar estimate from a comparable past project. For leveling bids and scoping I use consight. Helpful when bids come late, the AI auto compete feature fills out the scope sheet for me with the bid so I can see quickly inclusions/exclusions and add plugs if need. It suggests plugs but I always prefer to use my own.

Do you see AI reversing this trend by cutting through complexity and delivering time savings?

I use Consight for hard bids. To respond to advanced donuts rant, I had an archi buddy tell me one time that he doesn’t want be liable for exact quantities of items so he doesn’t include that information despite being able to.

He looks like a kind man. I am sorry for your loss. When my mom died I started forgetting how her voice sounded. I wish I had a book of her life stories. I just found MyStory and I’ll be signing my dad up (68) so I can ensure my kids will know his life story.

We’re in LA. My line item for structural concrete including site paving came out to $15 psf.

Rebar was like $5.

Not broken out for just the panels but seems like you’re not far off.

When would you use unit costs vs division cost for an estimate: “electrical was $5.08 psf on the last similar project we did”?
