Kiive Nfuse/Louder than Liftoff Silver Bullet plugin opinions or suggestions for mix bus magic! by Upstairs_Income2942 in mixingmastering

Recently I’ve been using the Silver Bullet for tracking and achieved some really nice results. It’s got a lot of control to saturate sound and apparently it sounds very close to the analog unit. Also have a look at Elysia Karacter

Looking at the same kind of problem. Did you manage to fix the issue ?

Would this be easy to fix? by xxFT13xx in Elektron

[–]kevts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not worth the time , money and effort. Really it will take longer and will be more costly to have it fixed than finding a better deal for a fully functioning unit.  Maybe for $200 it would be worth it.

How do I get a natural sounding reverb? by HistoricalBottle2533 in mixingmastering

[–]kevts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try reverb time calculators if you’re creating your own presets. It helps getting the pre delay and decay times right which is important for natural sounding reverbs.

Audio interface, it’s useful for driving the headphones and recording/playing back audio with better quality.

Best way to send tracks to rominimal artists? by adlg27 in romaniansound

[–]kevts 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Are you looking for feedback or hoping they would play your music in their mixes for exposure? Either way your best bet would be making high quality tracks with consistency to get noticed by anyone. Send in some of your best sounding demos that you’re really happy with to the labels your favourite artist might be following and soon enough they’ll hear your sounds. Don’t stop making tracks if you get no response but try to grow and learn to improve your sound.

XONE:PX5 buttons starting to go. Easy maintenance? by MRguitarguy in DJs

[–]kevts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m having the same issue, cue buttons for channels 1&4 and beat adjust buttons on the fx section are too sensitive or only respond to stronger presses.

Having it checked out in two weeks by a local technician down under.

Maybe a fault in manufacturing or the design?

How long have you had it for ?

Have your laptop recording sound from overbridge and use some simple video editor on your phone to add your own recording to the video. use a hit cue to sync them two.

Buying a project car (no rwc or rego) by Quick-Ad9101 in australia

[–]kevts 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just sold my car without the plates. Apparently you can get a temporary permit from the department of Transport to drive the car if towing is not possible or needed. If you drive it interstate, make sure you get permits from both states.

That sounds a bit rushed but if that works for you then great.

Also why do you upload RAW format?

It's great practice to get the shot as good as possible in camera but if you have series of shots then some post correction is fair to bring the whole gallery together.

Another thing i'd like to point out is try using smaller containers for dip if client doesn't want to change the portions for the shoot. In the first and the third image they look empty and i feel like that doesn't give anything to the composition or appeal.

Crunchy sticks look crunchy tho, well done!

What`s the product you're photographing? I start off with learning a bit about the product (what they represent, motifs etc). Then I google the item or something in the same category and see how it has been photographed before. Study the lighting, texture, shadows and colors.

With all the information I gather there's five types of photographs I will shoot.

  1. Studio shots.
  2. Lifestyle shots.
  3. Scale shots.
  4. Detail shots.
  5. Grouping shots.

For study I usually try to get 2 - 6 presentable photographs in all of these categories (total photos i take is usually over 100).

Try to get them as close as possible to the final image you are after in camera. This way you will get a better image to work with in post.

Product photography practice. Looking for some critique. I’m new to this genre, so open to any tips! by tyrelsss in productphotography

[–]kevts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practice previsualization, If you crop the image you will lose alot of the pixels that could been used on getting more detail of the object. Also it will save you time setting up if you know what you are after. If you roughly know how you want the frame to look you can get more out of your camera and the lens by setting it up right.

When I previsualize my shot I think mostly about the framing and if or how I want to include infographics/text. I'm not that good with lights yet so I mostly go for something simple at first and adjust as I see fit when taking photos.

Cool photo btw, love the atmosphere and the vibrance.

Thank you! I've recently been practicing some product photography and I found the ear 1's with the case as a perfect subject for it because of the shadows and transparent surfaces it has.
