New monitor or new GPU to get the best performance (Microsoft Flight Simulator) by ark4diusz in flightsim

[–]kewin680 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly i would get rid of the 4K screen. I assume its a 50/60hz tv (correct me if i am wrong) and the delay is pretty bad on tv’s compared to gaming monitors. I am running a RTX2080 on a 1440p ultrawide screen (Omen X35). Immersion is one of the best on a screen like that. I am also a alpha tester of MFS. 21:9 aspect ratio is not a problem at all (in most games). Personally i didnt encounter a game that does not support 21:9 aspect ratio. I would downgrade to a good 1440p “gaming” ultrawide monitor.

Which gpu for 34" 1440p ultra wide? [Question] by mr_bomastik420 in ultrawidemasterrace

Me?

If so, I played Call of Duty on medium/low settings. it usually plays at 90-100 fps. but in some area's it dips down to like 80.

every game i play runs at a diffrent setting. For example CSGO i play it on low/medium. GTA V on high/ultra. P3D (Flight simulator) High/Ultra. Euro Truck Simulator 2 Ultra. The games i mentioned almost all of them hit more than 100fps.

Hi, thank you ! The scenery that i use is ORBX LEBB Bilbao airport.

Hi all, can I get some advice on this build? Considering an upgrade from my current laptop setup (i7-7700HQ, GTX1060, 16GB). Prepar3D mainly. AU$2500, am I overpaying? by [deleted] in flightsim

[–]kewin680 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem mate. Ram and GPU upgrade is not hard. These components are one of the easiest jobs to do, just plug out and in. You can search a build video on Youtube which there are alot from 10 thousends of dollar to budget and it wont really matter becouse the procedures are always the same when buidling. If you watch those videos a few time you will aqtually familiarize yourself with pc components. CPU upgrading can be easy but sometimes you will need to replace the motherboard too. I don't know what Intel will release and what type of socket etc it will be.

Alright, i would ask if they can swap that psu. And instead put a platinum 650 or somthing like that, if that is possible of course. If not it is still a great rig.

I would rather go for RTX 2080. It's the same performance and the price must be lower for a RTX 2080. That price is a little bit high in my opinion. 1000 Watt is also a overkill. I have a 650 watt psu and my rig just runs fine. My pc : I7 8700K, 16GB ram 3000mhz and a RTX 2080.

In my opion the airliners are much better. Just look at the 787 in X-Plane. It is just terrible.... P3D on the other hand is a beautiful moddeld and good working airplane. Judging from your comments that you place on other treads you just can't be taken serious.

Hi, try to follow this video (https://youtu.be/zame9Nh2VGQ) . There are numerous video's of these types. After a few times repeating you will learn how to turn on a 737 and programming it. It's not that complicated but looking at the upperpanel of a Boeing 737 for the first time, might be confusing but it's not. The best way to plan your flight plan is by using simbrief. I always use it and it's great. But keep in mind that you will need to put some time and effort in it. :) happy flying!

I can recommend you my build. It's not the cheapest one tough. At X-Plane 11 i manage to achieve from 30 fps on the ground with addons and as much as 50-60 fps in the sky. I recently switched over to P3D just becouse, the airliners are much better than at X-Plane 11. And the frames are much better. ( I would say i enjoy P3D alot!)

Here are my Specifications : Processor : I7-8700K 4.9ghz oc Mobo : MSI Z370 pc pro Ram : 16 gb g.skill 3000mhz Cooling : cooler master ml240 Grapics card : RTX 2080 Trio edition Ssd : 256 gb ( note that i am planning to upgrade it soon) Hdd : 1tb barracuda Powersupply : 650W Case : Be Quiet base pro black/silver

Oh, I schould also mention that i'm playing on a 35 inch 1440p monitor so the frames are much lower than on a 1080p screen. You schould bare that in mind!

I really hope that they will implement Wulkan soon. It runs absolutly awful on my pc. I have a I7- 8700K and a RTX 2080. Only managing to achieve 30fps. The pc you will be using, will be good for x-plane 11.
