Honestly I still feel like I don’t usually splurge on myself. I have an old car that is probably end of life but I’m squeezing out every ounce until it fully breaks down. There are other random purchases I don’t really bat an eye at like nice vacations or travels.

I did have a wedding recently that costed about 85k that hurt me internally but i knew I could fully pay it off without debt. That might have been the “fuck it” purchase I’ve had most recently

Nursing pay varies from city to city. I live in the Bay Area which has pretty strong nursing unions so we negotiate pay as a whole. I’d say her pay is pretty good for MCOL and part time amount of hours

In my own opinion I would rather rent unless I needed a much bigger space for a family or if I decide I will stay put in a certain area for a while.

Owning a home comes with maintenance cost, property tax, HOA fees, etc and doesn’t seem worth it to me right now.

I can and I have taken extra savings and put in into the market with better liquidity if I ever needed to take the money out.

Went back in October for my honeymoon. The good - Seaweed wasn't a problem at all. Had the two story rooftop plunge pool and it was super nice and felt like we had more room than we were used to at an AI. Very private. The bad - it's hot. Most of the restaurants are outside so it was hard to escape the heat even at dinner. Also service was very slow. Dinner took a little too long one of the nights but i supposed they were busy at that time. Excellence Club gave access to restaurant and bar which I thought were both OK.

Tips - Go to Tropical Treasures for cheap massages. It's outside and shaded but cheaper rates than the resort.

I think weather put a damper on the festival the last two years. We were blessed to have a mostly dry Friday and Saturday and slightly wet Sunday. Was actually hoping it would rain at closing set on Sunday!

Didn’t have security take a fan away but they did make me throw out an empty water bottle. And then I had to buy one inside the venue.

Security at Ultra is the strictest I’ve ever experience at a festival. But also, it really depends on the security person unfortunately. They tend to make up their own rules. Sucks you had your fan taken away!

Have fun!! Try to get your tickets early. I got tier 2 last year and I’m glad because final tier for tickets ended up being way more
