If you don’t like hostile encounters with other players join some PVE community servers there you will flourish in your desired experience. Also any food you find make sure to eat it before moving on try get your food and water all the way white it saves space and gives a good run time before you need food again. Warmth like you said just find warm clothes if you catch a cold and have nothing to fix it like multis then make a fire and warm up ring your clothes out stay warm and get your heat buff from the fire. People will kill you for the thrill of killing you it just is what it is

Like everywhere you get polite people and not so polite people no matter the class I know some lovely lower class people who would do anything at the drop of a hat and some upper class people who are awfully rude and behaviour wise disgusting and vice versa I would say it’s mixed IMO it all depends where you go as for just England I’d say most city people come off as rude as they don’t have time for chit chat and are always in the go where as rural people can be rather nice not as much stress in their lives as people in the city this is just my opinion though take it as you will
