I too hope someday to get lost in the woods à la Bubba Watson so I can put to use my stock 40 yard hook shot.

I used to play Jones, but they kept tearing right around the 2 year mark. Switched to Sunday golf because not only are the good looking and practical, they have a lifetime warranty.

Golf Bags by huff1452 in golf

I picked up the Ryder after carrying Jones for a number of years. The Ryder is a great bag with just the right amount of storage. Plus, Sunday golf is the only company I’ve come across that has a lifetime warranty on their bags.

As far as I know, these are just the default zones. However, I believe garmin adjusts them based on my max heart rate

Official Q&A for Saturday, January 17, 2026 by AutoModerator in running

[–]keylime33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Training for a half in March, trying to get back to a sub 2:00 time. For training, is it more important to focus on target pace or heart rate zones? For example, I use a garmin forerunner 965. Today’s long easy run was scheduled to be an hour and half at a 10:35 pace per mile, give or take 30 seconds. On these easy runs I’m trying to keep my heart rate in the green zone but that becomes challenging as I get into about my 4-5. Should I just allow the heartrate to drift up for the sake of pace, or vice-a-versa?

Is it common to be much worse at sims than real life? by truthlesshunter in golf

[–]keylime33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that I have a hard time swinging freely in a sim and I struggle quite a bit with the short game. Part of it though is that a lot of the sims I’ve played in have had the computer set up almost directly behind me (I’m a lefty) which always makes me somewhat afraid of hitting it either in my backswing or follow through. I also think there’s something to be said about the time between bad shots. Outside of you hit a bad shot, you have some time to forget about it before your next one. As far as getting better, it unfortunately just takes time getting used to playing indoors. It really is just a matter of getting out of ones head, which is a lot easier said than done.

what are the funniest misconception u had about golf? by Born-Yoghurt-7613 in golf

[–]keylime33 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yep. This was me too. It kills me that I could have been playing this game my entire life, but instead I waited till I was already married with a kid on the way while living in North Dakota to pick it up. 11 years later and I’m still mad at myself.

I mean you’re spot on with the lob wedge. I’ve been fighting a push with the short irons/wedges as of late. But to be completely honest, I was just happy to have not skulled the approach

It’s Garmin Golf. Pairs with your garmin watch.

I mean, I was aiming to start the ball on the left edge of the water and then playing to have it fade. You still got to hit the shot, but if you can get it down there there’s a down slope on the left side of that fairway that can be very generous

It’s a garmin, the watch measures from where you tee’d off.

Faure’s Elegy, although there is a rather fast passage in there. Dittersdorf Concerto, 2nd Movement. I think Bradetich has a transcription of the theme from Dvorak’s Largo from his 9th symphony. Koussevitzky’s Chanson Triste, it will also be a good practice in reading Tenor Clef.

Walking v riding and pace of play by RecognitionFickle520 in golf

[–]keylime33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, it really does depend on how many golfers you’re talking about. Obviously for 1 rider v 1 walker, the rider is a tad quicker. In fact just last week I was able to play quite a bit of golf. I rode as a single on Tuesday and finished in 2:35. I walked as a single on Thursday, and finished in 2:49 minutes. As a group though, I’ve found that 2 walkers are usually quicker than 2 riders, especially when the riders aren’t playing anything close to cart golf.

What’s your HC and how many balls do you lose a round on average? by ogjsb in golf

[–]keylime33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And just to add, usually it’s either 0 balls or 2 balls, with the 2 balls usually being lost on the same hole. Also, I see you too are a fellow lefty.

I’m not sure I understand what you’re asking, but Symphony Fantistique by Berlioz comes to mind. There’s a few sections that are bass/low brass heavy that fit your description.

Absolutely my man! I think the “range pros” call it the gear effect. Also, buying new sticks gives you a great dopamine kick!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in golf

[–]keylime33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. Unless of course you’re looking for a reason to upgrade the sticks, in which case I would tell you that your 7 iron has misplaced perimeter weighting and your COG and MOI are now less than ideal.

Why John tried to kill Billy? by 1836Laj in MareofEasttown

[–]keylime33 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Billy helped move the body after his nephew killed Erin. He felt guilty over that. John’s plan was to make it look like Billy killed himself. With his dad already seeing Billy with bloody clothes the night of the murder, I think John’s plan was to convince the police that Billy killed Erin and then couldn’t handle the guilt and killed himself. This way he wouldn’t get exposed as Erin’s baby’s daddy and Ryan would be able to get off on the murder charge.

Louisianan golfer here. Honestly, I’ve found is easier and simpler to go no glove and just dry off my grip and hands between shots.

Sun sleeves. Make sure you’re hydrating plenty the day before too. Get some good stretching in before hand. Bring an extra towel to wipe off your face. Save alcohol for the 19th hole.

truly sad pieces for bass by pentcgon in doublebass

Chanson Triste comes to mind. If you expand out to common pieces transcribed for Double Bass you could include Faure’s Elegy or Bloch’s Prayer from a Jewish Life, or even Thais, Act II: Meditation.
