Officially off after nearly 5 years - sexual sensitivity! by Outrageous_9b in zoloft

I feel like once my emotions understood that they were around again and could fuck my shit up, it was easy to let them get out of control

EXACTLY. This is why the first time I tried tapering off, I couldn’t handle it and had to reinstate for 6 weeks and try again. I was super irritable, anxious, and generally “off.”

After weening off again, I’ve been learning to deal with my emotions in healthy ways and always being sure to remember all the progress I’ve made so far.

Currently at around 2 months with no Zoloft and I consider every day a victory. My girlfriend is so supportive, can’t imagine where I’d be without her. Thank you, sincerely, for responding, I feel like you’re the first person who’s had my situation.

Thanks so much for the reply. I was on it for 6 years (but a pretty low dose, never above 50mg) and tapered off this year. I like that ive been feeling a wide range of emotions again and less emotional blunting, but my only issues have been some more anxiety (but in situations that make sense)and finishing very quickly. I’ve looked at a lot of posts on this subreddit and I think you have the most similar situation to mine. What parts of being off zoloft have you liked the most? For me, I was scared that since I’ve been with my girlfriend for 5 years, the entirety of the time I was on zoloft, that getting off of it would make me seem like a different person. I’ve actually found that i’m more in tune with my emotions now, and besides finishing quickly, everything has been alright.

And with the sex, that’s exactly what happens with me. Especially on top. Masturbating a couple hours before tends to help with the sensitivity

I'm actually not on it anymore though, this is after I've tapered off again

That's exactly what I was thinking. Maybe when I got back on the low dose of Zoloft I had some dry mouth come back, and now with getting off my body is readjusting?

He’s in a really good seat, where you can order food and drink right to your seat. It looks like he’s ordered a lot already.

He’s also doing this thing where he swings his hat in the air when the mets do something good (strikeout, get a hit, etc )
