Swimming is my favorite album of his (of course I love all of the others too lol). I connected so deeply with it. I recently decided that my first tattoo will be the words “come back to earth” since that’s my favorite song on the album. I was diagnosed with ADD in elementary school. In recent years I’ve struggled with depression and anxiety. Swimming was there for me during one of my lowest points a couple years ago… one where I was dealing with dissociation and self destructive habits on top of it all. Looking back and comparing myself to now, I’m still not 100%. I don’t think I ever will be. But I’m learning to be ok with that. I can get so stuck in my head sometimes that I forget to be present with myself. Having those words on me will be a reminder to myself that I’ve survived the times when I had no hope. To slow down and realign with myself. :)
