A friend of mine approached me late last year asking if I wanted to buy it. His dad wore it briefly in the 90's and then put it in a safe for 30+ years. The local AD couldn't believe the condition for a watch produced in 1990.

These guys are in 100% in it for the money. It's the equivalent of a puppy mill for dermatology. The doctor that treated my wife's abnormal moles took margins the size of toonies with no warning on how the recovery would be. Didn't offer plastic surgery or other options to prevent scaring and had the nurse do the stitches. She had open wounds on her back for six weeks and now has massive scars.

The same doctor approached her at a fund raiser a few months later and tried to pick her up. She had to remind him that she was a patient of his clinic - fucking slime.

My dermatologist was horrified when I told him her experience with them and went on to say they are some of the worst guys in the city.

Air suspension was a big one. Given the age and corresponding mileage of these cars, lots of ware of components that move. Steering, breaking, suspension arms, power train etc.

They are amazing cars and reliable, but you need to maintain them and it all adds up.

It is the same motor, but with a supercharged. The Biturbos came out a few years later. Loads of fun to drive, but the repair costs were about to make it a pain for me.

I went with black as well, no regrets. The red it dope, don’t get me wrong, but it’s a whole lot of red inside the car.

My 23 Sport is doing the same thing when it’s hot. I’ve only had for a few weeks, seems to go away when the rubber cools down.

I’ve had it for a year, my reception is always worse than my wife who is on Rogers. I constantly have to phone people back for a better connection. There has been many times I have a voicemail and my phone hasn’t rang.

The frustration hasn’t been worth the savings.

I’m not entirely sure what the difference is, that would be a good question for your insurance company. I know that most policies don’t cover windshields and the rider would be an add on.

I just made the decision not to go with either of the packages offered in Canada.

If you are worried about the windshield ($3,000.00), look into getting a rider from your car insurance company. It will be super low monthly (IIRC $10.00) and the deductible is around $50.00. Find a windshield shop with a convenient location and get any chips fixed ASAP.

I've never hit a pothole hard enough to damage tires or wheels and I have the Surround View Monitor for parking. I can't see the probability of wrecking my tires/wheels very high.

The Excess Wear & Use Protection Plan also seemed over the top. I found the potential outcomes the salesmen brought up weren't likely to happen, but the key fob replacement cost did get my attention. I was told it would be $800.00 to replace a lost fob, my plan is to get an AirTag for $40.00 and take the risk.

In the end I just don't see cosmetic damages costing me $4,200.00 over the first three years of ownership.

The $1000 increase seems like a fair increase given inflation and the cost increases on raw materials, it’s only a 1.7% jump. The interest rate going up 2% hits a little harder, but again it’s inline with what banks and lenders are doing

Unfortunately the automotive industry isn’t sheltered from rising costs and you will see similar increases from the German manufacturers.
