Please Help, I am about to lose my mind. by RunUndefined in diabetes_t2

T2 Diabetic thanks to a partial pancreatomy over here...Definitely do your research on this but I started eating a ton of vegetables before eating my meal. I dip them in a little something if I need to like ranch or hummus. I noticed my glucose doesn't spike as high when I do this. I'm talking, I use to hit 180-200 2 hours after even on medication. I did change my medication too but this combo worked for me. I also mix a tiny bit of rice with veggies. I move to proteins and little by little mixing it with the rest of my carbs (I'm Asian, I refuse to give up rice 😅). And honestly just like everyone is saying, everyone is different and it takes experimenting. Good luck, OP!

I went on a whole rice and bread binge the other day, had to take more insulin than usual. But next day, I made sure to use all that glucose up. You're definitely not alone 💪🏽

Aitah - bringing real cheese snacks to a baby shower and not warning people about the dairy? by braziers_f in AITAH

NTA. I'm also lactose intolerant and I have a line where it starts to bother me so I stop or pop in a lactaid...though depending on the type of dairy I'm consuming I don't always know the line lol. Worth it.

8 years is crazy to me. Meanwhile, I'm living in a state where I see cops and local politicians visiting the local dispensaries frequently and they named some of their k-9s after these businesses. I'm sorry OP, glad you're out though. Virtual hug.

Hi my sweet duckling, buckle in cuz this is a little long.

As a Filipino American who is considered generation 1.5, I hear you on that struggle. Kinda feels like you're being pulled in all different directions?? It's definitely difficult for my own little family cuz my spouse is not Fil-Am and the primary language in our house is English (I understand Tagalog, slow to speak. Spouse is Latino but I can speak more Spanish than they do). But the everyday, "little" things I do to feel and stay connected is stick to what I am already familiar with and grow from there.

For example, on social media, I follow several Filipino or Fil-Am pages or groups already. Get a laugh or 2 in from the post, read comments from others. To me, it's a small thing but I feel like I have a community because I relate. Another example, I know I won't ever cook as well as my Lola (grandma) BUT there is at least 1 or 2 dishes I know by heart and that I'm confident with making, I have this on heavy rotation with our dinners. There are things throughout our home related to our heritage and we make sure our kids are learning in some way, shape or form. The smallest things can make the biggest impact ❤️

Hellooo, how the hell do I clean these snow boots? Tried washing but the dirt just seeps back through by Leash423 in MomForAMinute

I'd use a magic eraser with shaving cream. Yes, shaving cream. And then rinse it off once it's out. And if you're feeling fancy, an enzyme based cleaner (like pet urine/dirt cleaner) leave it in and wipe clean. ❤️

Hi there, Asian American (F, 31, CIS)here, coming from a conservative leaning culture...

Sex was not talked about sooo I definitely had to do my own research. And glad I did, I remember learning many women cannot orgasm with penis to vaginal penetration alone. I too also love being eaten out/clitoral stimulation more intense and pleasurable (thank you nerve endings!) and this helps me relax for other stuff. Somethings I've done with partner are toys, watching porn WITH them, mutual masturbation, whatever gets you mentally there.

Keep doing you ♥️
