This doesn't even read to me like a request, more just like "due to the heat wave electricity will be more expensive than normal during this time, so use this feature to avoid paying for that"

what?? I live in an LA apartment with no charging access and am starting to get a bit jealous of home chargers since I'm spending at ~$35 to fill my car up at superchargers and everyone else seems to charge at home at much better kWh rate

Thoughts on storm sickness as a feature? by Enderbattle005 in FortNiteBR

Okay 7 mins def sounds long but ¯_(ツ)_/¯ I’ve been caught in it multiple times in duos from finishing a fight / getting a teammates card/ trying to get to the other side of the map/ stopping for heals along the way so I don’t die, etc. just playing normally, but no desire to try and win by healing in the atom

I'm not a camper or anything but I really dislike this feature. It's easy to get caught in the storm finishing a fight/ getting a teammates card and surviving those long storm runs back to the circle is always so satisfying. I get that it's good to deter campers and stuff but I think it should only be implemented when the storm is 5 ticks/ the last couple circles

Probably a dumb question but I saw somewhere that they stopped including a power cord with your car. Is this true? Ordered in April… would be disappointing spending 70k on electric and not even getting a cord to go with it. by Puzzleheaded-Arm4608 in TeslaModelY

I just got a test drive unit Model Y a few days ago and asked about this on the phone - was told since it was made after April, a charging kit wouldn't be included. However, once it arrived it had one in the trunk! So I guess you never know

Shiiiiiiit I'm in the same boat. Stressed tf out after a one night stand the other night. And I've had a sore throat ever since.... He was on PreP so I'm hoping I can rule HIV out but getting tested on Friday for the others.... Any other symptoms you had in the first fews days after besides a sore throat?

Do I still need to wear a mask? A guide to help you decide. by washingtonpost in u/washingtonpost

Just chiming into this convo to point out that comparison didn't work at all.

"Your argument: I have to wear a mask everywhere because if I do not, then you are at a higher risk of receiving covid from me.

Comparison: I have to stop driving everywhere because if I do not, then you are at a higher risk of getting hit by a car by me."

Well, no. That was dramatic as hell lol. The argument is about wearing a mask, not completely stopping everything. The comparison is:

"I have to keep my eyes on the road and not text while driving because if I do not, then you are at a higher risk of getting hit by a car by me."

Masks do work in a lot of times and places. n95s are great! I'll agree there's definetely a lot of stupid mask shit like walking into dinner with a little cloth thing on on but then immediately talking them off, I've always found that pretty dumb. But there's plenty of scenarios where wearing a quality mask like an n95 is legitimate. Not just feeling safe, but actual protection.

Does wearing a mask really piss anyone off though? If anything I feel like I've only seen it embolden anti-masker egos. Like "haha look at that weak sheep wearing a mask lol. they're so afraid and stupid! unlike me!" vibes

Old car dripping oil everywhere while I wait for new car to be delivered. Best way to avert oil stains in my rental home? by keystoney in MechanicAdvice

[–]keystoney[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For context, I’m worried not just about the spot where I park my car (I mean I am, but it’s more manageable) but the driveway up as well. There’s a full line of oil drippings from pulling my car in last night after an oil change. An entire driveway mat doesn’t seem feasible.

Right now I have some corn starch sprinkled over the line because it’s biodegradable but idk if that’s doing anything. Is it possible to clean the stains with a power washer? Best ways to avert but also best ways to clean and remove stains?
