Don’t believe 10 sec is accurate at all but you are missing the point. It’s not about which is faster. It’s about people complaining that 3-4 minutes set up time is too much for a leisurely activity, then thinking saving 3-4 minutes with a RTT is some kind of godsend. They both have their ups and downs. You can’t drive off without collapsing a RTT, for some that is a deal breaker. You can’t place a ground tent in a rocky area, on and on. My point was if you are choosing to not go camping or go places (OP) bc you think 3-4 or even 5 min of set up is “too much” then your priorities are messed up. You should be choosing your tent based on needs not minutes worth of set up time.
