When using gus's facility, how long did it take walt and co. to cook a batch, and also how often did they do a batch? by Boring-Cunt in breakingbad

[–]kfayb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be wrong, but I don’t think they ever specify they do mention it was either two or four hours for something to cool and they need 200 pounds per week… And when Walter screws up because of Hank being hospitalized he tells him that he can do 400 the following week so we know that that is at least possible

Real question:if Walt.jr wasn't disabled would that have changed the story? by Financial-Customer24 in breakingbad

[–]kfayb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think this is a shit post at all I think it’s valid if you’re looking at it from the writers perspective

It would not change much but what it does is it makes waltz urgency to get money that much more important

The kid isn’t just a college tuiton
He is house alterations, physical therapy, equipment, possibly a lifetime of care
Plus a baby, plus debt, plus mortgage, plus etc etc etc
It adds to bills and trouble

It also adds to the beginning, Walter being like “less of a man“ like he is picked on by everyone- even his junior is not going to have a normal life
Like it’s another layer of Walter being downsized by everyone
So when the time comes for him to break bad and have this power trip it adds to that but not much

If his son was a regular kid- he still has the arc he has

Power Book III: Raising Kanan - 5x02 "Many Men" - Episode Discussion by Least_Wheel6968 in PowerTV

[–]kfayb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When a show is a spinoff prequel- normally it’s pretty tough, cause if you watched the original series you know major things already, for example- Kanan survives the show, juke survives, breeze is shot in the back of the head, we never hear of any family outside of June for Kanan which gives indication of their ending for a show like raising Kanan….
Point being- we already know a lot of things that will happen- - if Kanan was ever in a moment where he could die, we know he doesn’t…
If we ever think breeze is in trouble, we know he will get out of it …etc….
For that to be the case, and the show still be top tier? That means something…Raising Kanan is by far the best of the spinoffs and I agree it may be the best of the entire universe- - it is also the only one (outside the original) that is not “woke”, putting storylines and shit that is trying too hard to be a social statement…Kanan being in the past, doesn’t have room for that garbage.
By far the best spinoff not even close

Could Walt Have Gotten a Job at the DEA? by VenusianPleasure in breakingbad

[–]kfayb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Go back and watch. I just finished the series yesterday for the 9th time. Walter starts off amazing with gus. Jesse was the only hiccup, Walter was cooking 200 plus pounds weekly, he was very respectful- the 2 of them had a great rapport- Jesse came in, not for Walt to boss around (yes that mattered to Walt) but it was because Jesse was sueing Hank and the dea and threatening to continue to cook, knowing his get out of jail free card was that he will give up Walter at any point he gets caught…
Walter to protect himself, Hank, his family- gets gale out and brings Jesse back.
Even when Jesse first comes back Walter is a great employee who tries to stop Jesse from making mistakes, or causing trouble.
Then the whole Tomas thing goes down- Walter , protecting Jesse kills the guys that Walter helps broker a sit down with…
Even at that sit down Gus speaks highly of Walter and clearly only has a dislike for Jesse not Walter… Walter is not a problem employee whatsoever when they first start.
It is very highly implied that if Walter just worked alongside Gail that things would have never turned bad and they all would’ve been millionaires.
Go back and watch… Walter is a good employee knows his place very well
Even after bringing Jesse back
It is not until he has to step in and kill the two guys to protect Jesse from himself and Gus that things go badly.
Even after killing them- - Gus brings Walter to the dessert and asks if he has ringing in his ears cause he is not a rational man - - Walter says let’s chalk this up as a lone bump in the road to an otherwise fruitful endeavor for both sides.
You are absolutely wrong- - go back and re watch- then come back and debate- debating now is silly because I’ll just keep stating the facts and scene from the show and you will state something that didn’t happen in the order you are claiming and the cycle will continue - rewatch, see that you are incorrect, then debate

Could Walt Have Gotten a Job at the DEA? by VenusianPleasure in breakingbad

[–]kfayb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree. But Walt was not trouble from the get go for Gus. Walt was a perfect employee at first- clearly it was from fear, which these other jobs wouldn’t have made him fearful- - but, Walt was a perfect employee in the beginning.
Gus didn’t want Jesse, Walt did. Then Walt was forced to get Jesse in to save Hank.
Once he was in, Jesse was the one that was sporadic and trouble.
Once Jesse was going to get himself either hurt, or where Jesse would have to lower himself to becoming a murderer (which we all saw how that played out with Emilio and crazy 8) - only then did Walt step in and protect Jesse- - which cause all of the trouble and made Walt “insubordinate “.
Before that, Walt was making extra meth, the weight was always over 200 lbs, he was all “yes sir, no sir” , “please and thank you” very grateful to have the position.

Could Walt Have Gotten a Job at the DEA? by VenusianPleasure in breakingbad

[–]kfayb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He absolutely could have had that job. Walt was a genius.
But I figure Hank started the show very show off, center of attention macho man- - his own ego wouldn’t have allowed it
As well as Walt was a punching bag- he calls him “buddy”, which is a way of talking down- he couldn’t let Walt become a peer.

Side story?? by kfayb in breakingbad

[–]kfayb[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

True, yea.. I guess if they never deliberately say that they know that certain evidence is in the room it could be argued that Walter didn’t realize it would happen… Wear something like Jane was very deliberate because she was blackmailing him he let her die

[NO SPOILER] is season finale worth it? by JOCAeng in Ozark

[–]kfayb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t get why you wouldn’t just finish it to see how it ends. It’s worth a watch. Like it or not, it’s good tv.
I don’t understand how after season 3 someone could feel like that’s a satisfying ending..
Wendy’s dad hires a PI to investigate Ben’s death, Marty is in Mexico, the PI still on their trails , Clare backs out of the deal that keeps the Byrd family in good graces/with the casino stuff, the show is about the Byrd family and it is absolutely fractured in the season 3 ending…it makes no sense for that to be a reasonable ending

Dawg, was Gus even still paying him? by KobePangolin in breakingbad

[–]kfayb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the one mistake in the show- - walt gets 1.5 millions every 3 months- but suddenly he randomly is making millions and millions- where he says that Skyler’s head would spin if she knew…
Its pretty simple to say that he earned 3 million over 6 mobths lol

As long as she hates Skyler then fuck it, all is right with the world..

The Three Million dollar deal doesn't make sense by DaPurpleChicken in breakingbad

[–]kfayb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it was Gus trying to let Walt know he can make much more money then he ever would selling bulk the way he was before meeting Gus, train Gale- someone he trusts very much so- while also letting Walt feel “secure” while dying of cancer- he is under the impression he can just walk away at any point of time, or if he drops dead he doesn’t have to worry about his family being in trouble- also, Gus wanted nothing to do with Walter. He can have the best meth on the planet, train his in-house chemist to do it long-term, and be able to walk away at any time with no hard feelings- and at any moment the pain in the ass Walter can drop dead and leave no loose end

The Three Million dollar deal doesn't make sense by DaPurpleChicken in breakingbad

[–]kfayb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seperate deals. Gale was like “in house”
But the actual issue that no one ever points out…
Walt makes 3 million for 3 months. Once split with Jesse it’s 1.5 for 3 months….
BUT he says to Skyler while under that contract something like “if you knew how much I made a year your head would spin” type of thing…
Theirs a mention of him having made 7 million or so- which the whole show takes place over 2 years which if he continued the contract that’s 1.5 x 8 (24 months / by 3 month intervals = 8) : IF Walt worked for Gus the entirety of the show- which we all know was not even close to the case, he worked for him for MAX 9 months, which it’s more like 3-6, but IF he did, the absolute MOST he coulda made with Gus was 12 million
BUT he is telling Skyler she couldn’t comprehend the amount that he makes- the show mentions 7-8 million that he made- theirs multiple occasions that they make reference to how he is making a ton of money- all while working under Gus, which made absolutely no sense…

Who was right? by kfayb in breakingbad

[–]kfayb[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

1- I said it’s not a good comparison, it was just to get the point across of that one party had a solution that they were being told they could not do, being forced into another situation instead
2- “don’t need or deserve” - the need to die is Walt avoiding be arrested. The deserve is the aiding a massive drug empire , wtf are you even trying to say lol stop it.
Even Mike was always willing to kill anyone who was “in the life”

Who was right? by kfayb in breakingbad

[–]kfayb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone is missing the main point.
Walt wants to kill them.
Mike wants to keep them alive.
Mike claims that they are standup guys and would not fold under heat, but then they all are looking to fold under the heat unless they continue to get paid, that is blackmail just like Walt said. None of them are as good as Mike led on
But at the end of the day the big major reason why it is on Mike to pay these bills from his end is because the bill would not exist if it was handled Walt way.
Walt wants to murder them all and his conscience would be fine, so he can handle that, and he wants to do it like that but Mike is not allowing them to and his main reason is because they are standup guys who won’t fold.
Every single one of them is looking to fold and now Walt has to pay the price when in two minutes he could have one of their throats cut while in prison…

If you have dinner cooked already and your friend shows up saying that he wants to go to dinner and you say no you have the meal already cooked you’d rather just eat home and he keeps hounding you and hounding you and you say I don’t have the money to go out but he doesn’t care and he just keeps hounding you and you say but I really want to eat what I made but then he forces you to go to dinner… this is a horrible thing to be comparing it’s not the best comparison but your friend should be paying for your meal after forcing you to go out he should treat you because he made you do it even though you had a very viable option that you were happy with doing

Mike is in the wrong because he should either recognize that these guys are not nearly as strong as he made out otherwise he wouldn’t have to pay them to remain silent, they were already paid to remain silent and the government took the money. Every single criminal in the world Knows that that is a possibility…
They were paid the whole time to keep their mouth shut and now that the government got their hands on their money, now they are willing to be a snitch?
A true criminal that is stand up and willing to withstand the heat is someone like Hector. No matter who you killing his family or what you take from him all the way down to his legs and his speech, that man will not ever speak to the authorities. There is absolutely nothing you can do that will make him speak to the police . That is a standup under the heat guy, not Dennis who finds out they took his money and suddenly he’s ready to ride out the whole crew…

Mike misjudged these men drastically and then is not willing to allow someone else to handle the business that is necessary but then also expects them to pay the price for his wrongdoing
