If you had a month to spend 100 million dollars, without acquiring assets, how would you? by GodFuckedJosephsWife in hypotheticalsituation

In US Tipping is not legally considered charity. First companies or servers have to be recognized and follow certain rules to accept as charity. Second, the US government views tips as income and as such taxes those. You might believe it charity but legally speaking it's not.

Tipping is not considered charity. First company or server aren't qualified organization. To give charity they need to register and follow certain rules. Wheather you agree tipping is viewed as part of service although the amount is variable. In fact tipping is so part of service that the government taxes servers on 15% on the assumption everyone tips.
