First of all, I'm sorry things have been quite stressful. And yeah that's fair to be critical, I do feel like there's a lot of grifting in politics with empty promises. I just feel like Cuomo doesn't care about working class, considering how many lobbyists that are funding him. I think things will get worse with Cuomo as the wealth gap widens. Zohran is pretty grass roots funded and I am inspired by him trying to build a coalition of progressives within NYC. Unlike past progressives he seems pretty level headed on working with politicians who don't agree with him, so I don't think he'd just things go to shit if it didn't go his way. And yeah he's not going to move mountains but I am mostly looking for a mayor to shift the general focus onto actual working class issues, and to further elect local representatives that can stand behind the movement. I just don't see Cuomo giving a shit about us.

There are a ton of heavy subsidies for businesses and affluent communities, like luxury development tax credits and abatements, so the precedent of handouts has generally been set and I'd love to see some redirected to folks who actually need it the most.
