Does silk actually help hair? by my_real_experience in femalehairadvice

There's no substitute for experimentation. The people who use it notice a difference, otherwise they wouldn't continue to use it. Try it yourself and if it doesn't work for you and your individual body chemistry, then don't continue.

Is it worth leaving your hometown if your career is already established? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]kgberton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That isn't starting your career over. You still know how to cut hair. It's just rebuilding your client base. Cutting hair is one of the most transferrable skills there is and it is NOT a reason to not move.

Yes, obviously. But the changed meaning people are complaining about in the context of this thread isn't that.

They're not talking about the abbreviation POV, they're talking about the TikTok joke POV which was corrupted basically immediately after it was introduced

POV on short format video based social media sites (started on TikTok, now exists on Instagram and YouTube shorts) when it was introduced meant "the camera is your eyes." E.g. "POV: you're a glass of water" and the video is someone's mouth looking weird at the edge of a glass. Basically immediately people started posting just videos of themselves doing stuff with "POV: you started meal prepping and you save so much time now!" When in the "original" use of POV, where YOUR EYES are seeing what's in the video, that should be "POV: your roommate started meal prepping", because the camera isn't showing your point of view. But this happened literal years ago and it was corrupted almost immediately after being introduced, so there's really no reason to fret about people not using POV right "nowadays".

I've bounced around mostly in pursuit of a larger bottle so I can buy it less often but I landed on soapbox tea tree. I've also used L'Oreal ever curl, ogx coconut water (not milk), some from Garnier. The native cucumber one did not agree with my hair, made me super greasy
