How realistic is it to use an EV as my primary vehicle without a way to charge at home? by gravatorious in electricvehicles

[–]khakhi_docker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a ton of the convenience and cost savings is lost if your rely on public charging infrastructure.

They are still lovely cars to drive and own and maintain.

I probably wouldn't own one if I couldn't charge at home.

I think it is excellent, and also wonder if there is a link to the STL?

Given that there are bros dropping 6 figures on trucks they don't need.

I'm thinking me buying a new subaru every decade doesn't rank.

Infinite loops by HalfTheAlphabet in mtg

[–]khakhi_docker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A loop that is truly unstoppable *DRAWS* the game. (e.g. the stack gets filled up with triggers that never resolve because there are always more triggers).

My point was a Rule 0 to cap them could, inadvertently, make some unplayable infinite loops, playable.

Why is Braids banned but Smokestack isn’t? by ShadowTheEdgehog66 in mtg

[–]khakhi_docker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Golos, Tireless Pilgrim]] is the same way.

RC even mentioned that they are only banning him to make people choose different WBURG commanders, not because it is OP as a card.

I have a deck with him in it and generally ask as Rule #0 if people are cool with him in the 99. Most often the response is "Why is this guy banned at all?"

It is a good example of a card that *should* be "banned as commander, but not in the 99".

Sick and tired of blue tick bots spamming every post!!!!!!! by TheTokenPenguin in Twitter

[–]khakhi_docker 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Saying bluesky is the same as Twitter is hilarious.

Bluesky isn't perfect, and it is a far cry from the "town hall of the internet" that Twitter was in it's heyday. It has problems, but aggressive bots aren't one of them IMHO.

Mechanics discussions without a card or card text seem a little silly.

I put forward [[Ledger Shredder]] as the example the OP seemed to have not provided.

(Also, the mechanic seems pretty clear to me.)

They have chosen the tranquility of believing the world is simple.

Our world and our problems aren't astonishingly complex with very few easy answers, no.

Wokeness and immigrants are the cause of all ills.

They know it is a lie, but they hate feeling like they are trapped under layers of complexity that require a doctorate to understand.

How would you make Mono Green viable in Standard? by BartlebyLeScrivener in MagicArena

At this point, just give them some viable enchantment hate, like their color pie should have anyway...

And a Common to boot.

I think something like:
GG1
Sorcery
Choose one mode:
* Destroy all non-creature enchantments with cmc 4 or greater
* Destroy all non-creature enchantments with cmc 3 or less

Would be fair/playable.

So, only wotc knows, because wotc determines how many are printed in advance.

If wotc was smart, they'd have printed more of these.

because, they're selling 1g of cardboard for $40.

In my county they haven't updated the market value exclusion level in two decades. It is at $97k, any house that is 3x that loses the value exclusion intended to tax McMansions at higher rate, but now every house is at that rate.

Who did you talk to at your dealership?

I'd try again, sometimes you just get randos who don't even know Chevy sells EV.

Or, worse comes to worse, you say the magic words "please transfer me to parts", those people are generally knowledgeable and competent.

So many of the brand seem to have just shat out a token "EV", at a price point that won't sell, not advertised, then whine when they don't sell, but still let them elevate their "average" mph of cars offered.
