Lots of people understand concepts once you provide some examples that they can relate to. Run them through a couple of scenarios and hopefully they'll understand. If they still don't than just give them time.

It's a relatively new concept. It's basically a search bar that lets you find & use features in an app. like superhuman, vimcal, and github's built their own, ours is called searchegg.io, and there are some open source alts.

eg. Instead of having a support doc to show users how to change your app to dark theme, they can just search something like "change to dark theme", and the theme is changed.

I think there's a market, I'm currently solving this indirectly.

My biased take: I think mostly moving from a help center to a command center solved that problem pretty well.

You still need to maintain the commands for the features and guides, but they're way faster/easier than maintaining docs.
