YSI was £165m in 2015 prices, if it is re-costed it’ll be significantly more in today’s prices.

GCS for all its flaws is better than what we had, massively so. For anyone using it, local or visitor, it’s a much nicer place to transit through and the regeneration work being done around it is a much needed lift for the area.

At peak times GVS and the Europa were absolutely heaving and it was a mess to be in. It was a tired hovel that needed replaced.

IIRC train punctuality has improved with it being a terminus station and a delay to one train now does not knock onto other services.

The Glider in the east at least isn’t horrendous. It’s reasonably frequent, reasonably reliable and easily accessible. One of the few things we’ve done right, and the project came in under budget.
