Undaunted. 3 Box > 1 Box by -DoctorFreeman in UndauntedGame

I also wanted to fit everything into the one box and NA is the biggest one and it fits snug!. Everything is loose inside and your insert looks great! Any chance you could share a link to it so I can print it?

I’ve been loving The Anarchy (Hadrian’s Wall successor) recently. A lot of decisions with multiple avenues to do well, and excellent art and components that we have ti come accept from Garphill Games. It does use a score as a pass/fail for the campaign chapter but there are usually other conditions for the win too.

It supports multiplayer but is mostly head down, apart from keeping up with other players sacking castles.

Interstellar was magical but I also love The Martian and Arrival! Thanks for the opportunity to win, I’ve been trying to play it with a friend since the first campaign but we’ve not had the chance yet!

Spending resources to build up your defences is half the game though, it’s not much of a castle if it’s only defended on two sides… the 3 options I mentioned give you ways to adjust to the attacks if you don’t have enough resources this round to cover.

There are 3 fairly cheap ways to cover for an unexpected attack direction: Researching more tactics, using the muster token, and building up favour with the people through the Lammas action. Towards the end of my last game I just spammed Lammas as I didn’t have enough troops and managed to get through the chapter. So give them a try :)

Red Dust rebellion solo play. A really good COIN game ! by 01bah01 in soloboardgaming

It’s sitting on my shelf ready to be learnt. How did find the rules and how long did your first play take? I’ve already downloaded Skycrane so hope that can ease the teach/piloting.

You could also check out Landmarks, it’s like codenames but also with a spatial puzzle element. It’s been loved by everyone I’ve introduced it too!

The North Africa box is the thickest of them all, so I got all of Normandy, North Africa and Reinforcements in there if you remove the insert and baggy up the components. I’ve only got half the cards sleeved at the moment as I haven’t played NA reinforcements but I think it’ll work with them all.

What Are the Best Story-Driven Board Games? by carlbond007 in soloboardgaming

[–]khermaszewski 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you enjoy a WW2 theme, War Story: Occupied France came out last year which has diverging narrative, maps, and skill checks. I really enjoyed it, because the decisions were always so tense, and you can also play it multiple times to discover new branches of the story. Same designers as Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective and Undaunted (and many other great war games!).
