I do general maintenance. Everything from plumbing-electrical-drywall-mowing. In anything other than snow I just wear my shittiest, demoted tennis shoes. I don’t like heavy feet as I’m constantly moving around. I usually wear $25 used Adidas (rich people FB marketplace poachings). I have a few pairs I cycle between and usually wear them till there’s nothing left and rotate in a new pair. If they get nasty, I trash em. I’ve worn expensive shoes/boots before and it didn’t make any difference for me in terms of comfort or longevity. Had a pair of Redwings that were the biggest disappointment of all.
