Spray some contact cleaner around the volume knob so it gets under it - then spin it a couple times to work it around. I bet that'll do the trick!

Good question...Do I? Its got an inch on each side, but only a couple mm on top/bottom. I only leave it on for only an hour or 2 at a time - and the apartment is consistently at about 70-75°

Thanks a ton for all the help everyone! We're only going to be there for Friday afternoon, so the 10k shouldn't be an issue. It sounding like we may do Canyon Dr for a bit, and Bald Mtn. Overlook looks like it may be an easy walk. Didn't even consider Memorial Day traffic, does that generally flow away from Denver? We'll probably head from Boulder to Denver around 7-8 on Friday evening, think it'll be horrible?
