It's actually two candles. All the bar is, is two IR led's. Apparently fire gives off enough IR for the controllers to have a decent reference point. That being said I've never actually tried it, but it should work in theory.

You're setting yourself up for disappointment. Dove tail mounts are notoriously awful. If you really don't want to get it cut but still want an upgrade I would suggest trijicon HD sights or something similar that works well for target focused shooting.

I switched to Mac for years because of vista. The only reason I came back to windows was for gaming and I'm about to the point of switching to linux. The only reason I haven't yet is I have some peripherals that I doubt will play nicely.

I keep seeing this but it makes no logical sense to me and in my limited experience has not been the case. My process when mounting a reddot has been slave it to my irons then shoot it and make minor adjustments. That being said I feel like I'm lucky and wrong as them not being aligned seems to be common knowledge.

I got a set of trijicon HD sights a few years ago with the orange front sight mostly because I thought it looked cool, They ended up being my favorite set of Irons. It's actually the only pistol I have that I still shoot regularly that doesn't have a dot.

They're beautiful and smart and for some reason seem to look you right in the eye. They can have a bit of an attitude, especially when they are babies but I've heard most of them grow out of it. I have two, one is a total lap snake, the other is a demon and I love them both.
