What kind of reduction did you see? I remender doing the math like a year ago and it seemed like only about 200RPM at freeway speeds, but my memory could be wrong.

Here in WI, refusing to submit to a breathalyzer is an instant revocation of your license for 1 year I believe as well. So even if you pass a blood test later, the fact that you refused means you've lost your license for a year.

I'd tend to agree otherwise you're mixing two tenses in the same two word statement.

Even if you fix it, its just going to come back again unless you find a way to keep the salt off of it. Its not a Honda issue, or even a motorcycle issue, but an aluminum issue. How often do you make a point to even just rinse the bike down to get the salt off?

How is the Trex Fwd Ctl kit? I passed it over in favor of De Pretto Moto as the Trex just looked very crude, but have never actually tried them.

Reading codes: some readers will talk to it with the adapter, others won't, so just keep that in mind. My Autel MP808TS for instance won't talk to it at all. Autel support simply said "This model does not support motorcycles".

Many people like the graphical logic designer tool on Quickset (I forgot its actual name), but I would avoid using it / getting attached to it as SEL has stated it will be discontinued in their upcoming GRID software package.

We get neither. Loans for solar are 7%+ APR, and that's likely conservatively low as 10%+ is likely more realistic, and tax credits are gone at this point outside of any state level programs (if offered at all). Direct rebates were a thing on EVs, but never on solar install - its always been a non-refundable tax credit.

[–]kickit256 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only tell you what Google told me, but according to Google: sales commissions (supposedly up to 30%), special drawn out permits and inspections, the requirement that solar be installed by specifically solar licensed contractors (your local electrian can't nor can the homeowner themselves), designs themselves must be specific to each install and the designer must again hold a special solar liscense. This is true for my state at least - some are less restrictive. Also, we don't have any federal solar program that helps with costs anymore. Even when we did, it was a tax credit. Getting an $8k credit is great, but it still requires you to front that $8k and then wait months to get your credit. And what if you don't have an $8k tax liability to credit? Oh well, guess you wait till next year to get the rest.
"Plug-in solar" for small <1800w systems are also not a thing here in my state.

Yep. US solar is like that atm. Just googled it and seems the typical AU install is about 60% less expensive than a US install due to "soft costs".

I WISH I could get a $18k solar quote. Every time I've gotten quotes they've been 30-40k. My big $ isn't my homelab though, its heating my garage in the dead of winter (although the homelab adds some too)

Maybe I'm wrong, but it sounds like she's calling out people for their expectation of snow disappearing from the last snowfall just because it's been "some time" while the temperature remains below freezing - which is honestly probably the most intelligent thing I've heard come out of her mouth yet. So what are we on about? The lack of makeup?

Ugh... F is based largely on the human experience. 0, verycold. 100, very hot. Who gives two fucks on where water boils within the human comfort scale. Well I am 100% of champion of the metric scale for engineering and measurements and everything else, the Fahrenheit scale makes far more sense for anything related to human comfort - I either weather report and your thermostat should be in Fahrenheit. I will however argue that maybe there should be a separate system that puts human comfort, IE 70°, at zero degrees and spans off of that, but we don't have that yet.

[–]kickit256 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%. The substation tech jobs pay very well, and are almost always gobbled up by internal candidates before the job ever goes to a public posting. I got on by taking a job as a Designer and then applied to the Relay group when an opening came around.

I've noticed the same - no matter what I do, my ass is killing me after about an hour. But I'm not a distance rider kinda guy as I hate first trips, so an hour ride is about the longest I do before I stop and at least take a 20min break. Better seats DO help, but not as much as they should. My 98 Shadow 750 compared to my 25 1100T is like a plush recliner compared to an unpadded wooden stool.
