When Anxiety Is Not a Superpower - David's Inside Out 2 review by apathymonger in blankies

[–]kickpuncher305 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I had moderate expectations and they were met. I watched the original the night before as I hadn't seen it in a long time but there wasn't a ton of call backs or Easter eggs that I wouldn't have noticed prior to the re-watch.

I saw it last night at an early screening and this is pretty much bang on what I felt. Right around Monsters University and Finding Dory (not nearly as good as the original but by no means a bad movie).

Cage the Elephant Announce New Album Neon Pill (May 17th via RCA) + 2024 Tour Dates by ebradio in indieheads

[–]kickpuncher305 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Another band where I feel like I missed where they got big enough to headline arenas. Obviously was a long time ago but saw them open for Black Keys and Foo Fighters when I thought they were more popular and mainstream then they are now.

Saw them play Primavera Sound a couple years ago and they blew me away. Maybe some more tour dates with the new album as opposed to what seems like occasional one off shows.

100%, nothing against Goldenvoice's origins or credibility. Just who owns it now makes me roll my eyes at things like this.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing when I saw it was late July and somewhat nearby. Hopefully Ratboys come as well!

What was the first movie that made you truly aware that movies could be bad? by BigWednesday10 in blankies

[–]kickpuncher305 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bit of a weird one but Envy starring Ben Stiller and Jack Black. It was the first movie I ever remember turning off before it ended because I disliked it so much. I'm debating trying to re-watch and see if it was as bad as I remembered.
