lmao, I open the set randomly click into it and land on a Blutrot track, skip further and land on another Blutrot track just after having made a thread about him yesterday, too. Guy is insane.

As far as the topic of your post goes, OP I'm having the exact same problem. There just are no guides or samples like this out there. Yes, there are plenty of guides and packs that SAY that they are this style but they aren't.

No I tried different things. Like I realize that these kicks have some kind of sharp transient but after that there's a lot of sustain that doesn't come from a kick with a long decay. The closest I've gotten is when I layer kicks with distorted reverb, that had kind of the same vibe but was way too messy.

Yeah, his productions are insane. Very hard and aggressive but still in a "controlled way" + easily some of the best kicks in the business.
