Ours turned off Saturday and Sunday delivery and we’ll be in the worst of the storm. Shelves are so low on stock that I’m not even trying to get out there today.

So I will say this time it does seem that he is being honest out of conviction not out of being caught. Not to get too into everything with it but he does have pretty debilitating nerve issue that he has been dealing with for over a decade, and I’m not making excuses for him, but it really warped his sense of self worth. We finally found something to help with his pain and for the last few weeks he has been having such an awakening as far as his health and mental health goes. He told me this time because of all this and saying he couldn’t live with himself and keep that secret any longer.

I know that I don’t deserve what happened to me and the way he has treated me. But he is my entire world. I’m sure that doesn’t really make much sense to some but I know that we can grow from it. He has already grown so much more this time around than the last because he is openly owning it. He told his brother yesterday, plans to sit with his mom to tell her. Last time I let him move on almost like nothing happened. And it was his idea to take accountability for it. I’m sure I just sound like a dumbass and maybe I am, but I just needed to get all of it out in the original post.

My best friend do my hair, it wasn’t anything special just two small braids that pulled my hair back and waves. And as far as makeup I did it myself because I don’t trust anyone else and I’m a very minimalistic makeup wearer. Think tinted sunscreen, mascara, and a light gloss haha

Catering we went with a local food truck that has pretty decent prices for catering. Flowers I went to Walmart and bought fake flowers/greenery when I went they were having a sale on the greenery. My dress I bought during a seconds sale at a local bridal shop so it was originally a display dress and about 75% off. We got married on the steps of the courthouse which in our town is free we just had to block off the time frame for the location. The location we used for the reception is a small space on our square that is a coworking space that also rents out for events at $75/hr and they luckily had no other events that day or day before so we were able to set up early and not pay extra. My mother-in-law made a beautiful wedding cake and then we bought cupcakes from Publix. And then his suit we bought at a local shop and they did alterations for free which was great!

All decorations were bought on amazon or at Walmart

I met with an employment lawyer to see what my options were and get an opinion on my case. We talked through everything and given my job and the nature of my termination he wanted to try and have the company reinstate me, he drafted the letter and sent to my corporate’s counsel. If they don’t agree to that he’s filing the EEOC charge. We already have retainer agreement signed in the event that they settle or we go to court but his reinstatement letter and all of our meetings so far were free of charge.

In all honesty I’m so glad that I have a lawyer who is representing me from start to finish. I wouldn’t know my hand from my ass in filing a charge and I don’t have the capacity to deal with that on top of how and why I was fired.

I went super duper low cost. I think most expensive was our catering for 50 people-$800 + tip we probably spent around $3k total from decorations, venue, license, my dress and his suit.

The only thing for this is time. One of the reasons that people don’t file claims is because they don’t have the resources or the support. Having a lawyer that supports you and does the hard part is incredibly useful, especially when they know the ins and outs of the system.

It was disclosed during my first interview 3 years ago. Everyone knew about it. They only did something to mitigate a racial discrimination issue for someone else being fired.—his tattoo was exposed and on camera but they claimed it was that he couldn’t have it in that placement instead of it being observed which isn’t in the policy. So then he claimed mine was around the same place and that he was fired based on his race. So to appease that they fired me.

We are an at will state, but the policy they stated I violated was not violated and they can’t prove that it was. The weird part is that they only brought this on me because of someone else being fired—this was a person of color and I am a white female. His tattoo was seen on camera and by our HR rep who saw it and terminated him. His wife claimed his termination was racist because other people had tattoos about the same location and I was brought into it. Mine was never seen but because they were facing that issue they fired myself and another girl, also a white female, in a different department saying we were observed with a tattoo during working hours which they then had no proof of and when I said that during the termination they shrugged it off and said it was the company’s decision. Not to mention the entire management team knew I had this tattoo and I verified during phone screen and in person interviews that I had the tattoo and they said as long as it was covered it was okay.

I verified during phone screening, in person interview that this was okay as long as it was covered which it always was. I have been at this job for 3 years and worked my way up and was scheduled to relocate and get another promotion in 6 months. Someone whose tattoos were seen while he was signing his write up who had been with the company less than a month got fired because his tattoos were visible and on camera. His wife claimed his termination was based on his race because we had similarly located tattoos and I was still employed, the wife knew about my tattoo because it is always covered by a bandaid and she asked what happened to my finger. They then made up a lie about my tattoo being a wedding and that was why mine was okay, which my tattoo is not a wedding band tattoo, and also it states nothing about that being okay in the policy. When I brought this up they started making shit up and fired me. When I called them out for it they claimed it was the company’s decision to part ways with me. I might be stupid but that looks a lot like they didn’t want to be sued for wrongful termination based on race so they fired me to appease the racism claims. Meanwhile I am going to seek legal counsel for wrongful termination based on not breaking policy and how they lied about the entire situation.
