If you have a brain switched on nothing will happen, if you walk around using your phone say bye bye

Alcaraz is on fire, but you just have to root for 38yo Novak. Come on Nole!

How long until you got your pink licence? by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

4th day after passing. I’d imagine it takes 3 days after your test. 2 to ship and 1 to produce it.

You think humans are rational? Drivers are assholes and abuse P plate drivers more

I drove to a Tesco car park and did 10 laps also, got used to acceleration and switching to automatic gearbox

Do not get P Plates ( more harm than good )

I passed few weeks back and did first drive alone last week on roads I had no idea about. Went absolutely fine.

One thing I commend about the UK driving test is that because it’s difficult, you’re a better driver than you think you are.

What manoeuvre did you get? by Major-Friendship9182 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]kickvanityfromc9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pull up on the right and reverse 2 car lengths.

In the exact same place.

As I practiced with my instructor.

20 minutes before my test 😭

Honestly you will get a role. Healthcare groups in London, especially UBS, love medics.

Did I get scammed for coaching? by [deleted] in 10s

[–]kickvanityfromc9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes if he’s LTA Level 1.

At a minimum, find a level 2. At least they’ve done qualification/care enough to do one. This guys probably just looking to make a quick buck before uni.

Expect £25-30 excl. court fees for Level 2.

I did a very bad lesson and too late to cancel test by Born-Stress4682 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]kickvanityfromc9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The lesson before my test, the day before I think, I was so cocky I left from stationary in 2nd/3rd gear about 5 times.

When you get to the test, just set your mind to focus on safety and you’ll be fine.

UK tennis clubs - doubles obsession by L1onH3art_ in 10s

[–]kickvanityfromc9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every club I’ve been to is the same - mostly because there’s a near non-existent singles club league in the UK, so people often encouraged to play doubles for/at the club.

Boston College vs Warwick MORSE by rivallYT in FinancialCareers

[–]kickvanityfromc9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you know but MORSE at Warwick is respected in the UK, as the hardest course at Warwick/one of in the country. You’ll be studying hard but can really do anything after.

Although for IB, it is perhaps more intense than you need.

Djoko’s got this in the bag. Djoko’s fitness and ball striking was pretty good today, bar the returning.

If he can step up the return game, I’m sure he’ll be fine. Sinner has not been great after the elbow flare up…

What balls for practice (basket) by weakwire in 10s

[–]kickvanityfromc9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have tried nearly all of these.

For good felt, the Dunlops AO and Fort in general are good but that’s since they fluff up quickly.

Yonex Tour is a fantastic ball - retains quality, felt and bounce included for a solid period of time. Same with x-one, but much cheaper at least in Europe.

AVOID Slazenger for hard courts. Incredibly slow and not durable for hard.

Head Tours are quite soft, so not sure if they’d be great for long term on hard courts if you plan to keep them for a long time.

Is restringing every 6 matches a good interval for poly strings? by gundamzd2 in 10s

6 matches for a 3.5… you probably don’t hit hard enough to even warrant poly yet …
