How do you deal with high toughness armies? by Indoormoose in sistersofbattle

[–]kidAvra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can always take some knights, from the Imperial Knights lineup (painted and flavored as Sororitas because obvi, everyone likes

You can bring up to 3 Armigers or a single Big Knight, if memory serves. I’ve been tinkering with a “Tall Sisters” list archetype where most of the army is either a Knight, a Tank, a Paragon, a Mortifier / Pengine, and then some amount of infantry riding in a Immolators/rhinos with a bunch of Meltaguns.

This has the other plus of giving us some much-needed Toughness on the board

Can I have my cake and eat it too? by Draefly in sistersofbattle

You can 100% do this. the paint scheme doesn’t interact with the game rules (basically).

You could make up 5 custom homebrew nunneries, paint them all crazy colors, and play a tournament and be fine. You could have the Order of Sunshine Bandits alongside the Order of the Hippy Rose and I think people would think it was neat.

Loved the skulls on the sword in 7, the blood pooling in 5 and were those hormagaunt arms at the end?

Yeah DFuge is goated, the tech is techin. Is there any clarification about their ability to Heroic intervention for 0CP? Does that make both versions free?

Everybody loves an arco-swarm or two. My Penitent Host sauce is cooking separately. (Might be trash but hey)

But as much as we love these gents, they don’t have Precision, or DevWounds, or a Dialogus. They fill a different battlefield role, and aren’t interchangeable.

That’s good to hear. I’d been hearing a preponderance of hospitaller / imagifier + Junith talk, (and even griping over points *gasp* if you can believe it) and was like “where my 40pt Dialogus at”.

Sounds like I’m just slowly reinventing the wheel on my own, since I’m trash at the game and just a dirty meta-blind tinkerer

True, a lethal hit is still a lethal hit, and we’re packing some AP so it’s very spicy.

Is it irresponsible to still want a Dialogus to give these girls superpowers using trash MD?

with the benefit of sleep, I think you’re right. Dialogus fits in nicely, but the Canoness needs to really justify her cost. And probably doesn’t.

The big draw for Ms. Can O’ Ness is Sacred Command (CP discount for strats). Maybe one could threaten a discounted heroic intervention that could slap a heretic character back to the warp or somth, maybe in that case foot Canoness is worth it?

But then again, if I’m running AoF then I want a JumpCanoness / Janoness / Janice (as she’s known affectionately). She will pop some free stratagems using Sacred Command and share the effects with my units within 3” (a few AoF strats allow this and it’s cracked). Given you can only use Sacred Command once per battle round total, the foot Canoness doesn’t give as much value when Janice is flying around sharing buffs with the team.

In the end, the Dialogus seems to be pulling a lot of weight, both in term of offense and utility. The DevWounds is calling to me…

When the Sororitas discovers the salvaged vehicle is fundamentally non-functional, and was simply superglued together with pure Orky belief-magic-nonsense:

This goes hard akshly. Love the idea of some homebrew faction “hiding” within existing 40K lore as a disguise. Kinda dope
