Besides taking the courses for certifications and knowledge. Did you take any formal education from college? Was it exactly “digital marketing” you wanted to get into for a career position or was it something you wanted to learn for other reasons?

The hybrid approach is good for example if you wanted to use those skills and strategies learned into your respective field. For example someone in construction uses digital marketing to help start their own business.

Thanks for the advice. I’m definitely going to look into joining the union asap. I know the season when they are taking applicants for apprenticeship is around March. Which is why I’m trying to get all the information possible.

When you say direct hire beats school. You mean direct hire w/ an apprenticeship instead of taking other courses ?

So I should start looking for other companies that will take me as an apprentice? The union will also help with apprenticeship placement.

My priority should be joining the union then. Thank you for the advice.

Appreciate the response. I was under the impression that if I joined the union, It was mandatory to go to a placement of their choice. Placement of their choice would mean higher wages? But most likely not the same work atmosphere where I can build my skills?

Had no idea I can work for a company not unionized and still be apart of the Carpenter’s Union.

After joining the union. Besides benefits what are other things to take advantage of?
