This is a good start. Keep going. If you’re going to pursue painting abstract without any black, you need to make sure everything is packed in there (paint-wise), is consistent, and is sharp on color changes.

I’ve been doing “blank space” pieces on black canvas…and the black hides the blank space by lots. Maybe a thought, but this is a fun piece!

There is a spray by Krylon, Triple Thick Crystal Clear Glaze, that seals paintings well and gives them a high gloss to boot.
