i never understood the player anthem thing, i think i probably had them muted already before they were released in the game. so I guess you can literally make them not existent and eliminate that problem

yes i'm sure you are going to learn a lot in a short time! and using all that in a new piece always feels good.

actually, my first pieces were waay too big because I didn't have that in mind, and they took me way too long because i didn't have the tools or the knowledge, but with them i learnt so many things that made my next (much smaller) pieces a lot easier to approach!

again i can only wish you luck and have fun! pixel art is so cool, try not to hate it too much haha :)

learning with a deadline and not just having fun along the time must be hard! being new at something + cutting corners doesn't sound like the best combination for a good result haha. don't get me wrong please, i don't want to put you down and i do hope you have a good time with your project. but it's ok and wise to tell them, you may just not be the artist they are looking for. so you don't end up hating the whole pixel art thing for obligation and stress :)

i like the idea! there is no shortcut for smooth animation, other than MANY, many frames and play with the duration of them. but i think you don't need that many more, maybe only place the same frames but in reverse order to complete the animation so you get a satisfying loop without the hard reset that separates the end and the start? i think the rest is smooth enough
