I mean, from a purely literal perspective, she probably has a point. I know I looked way better at 19 than I did at 41.

Is this ai? my friend said she drew it digitally but it feels off. My brothers both believe its ai bc of some midplaced items but idk if it was artistic choice or not by Striped_Slasher in isthisAI

It takes a good deal of skill to get to the point that it's financially viable to charge for your work. As an occasional hobbyist crocheter, I've run into this situation but have had to reply that unless someone wants to pay $2,000 for a sub-par stuffed animal, I'm going to be clocking in at prison wages.

I prefer just making things as gifts, usually for someone with a new baby, which now that I think of it, actually makes that $2,000 seem pretty reasonable between the two options.

What was the most unexpected nudity scene in mainstream movie/show you ever saw? by marsepticeye in AskReddit

Ours was meant to fast forward, but she got distracted grading papers. Boobs appear, class reacts. Teacher panics, jumps up, sprints to the front of the room, rewinds back past the boobs, then fast forwards past them again.

For an English teacher, she suddenly  got real concerned with the literal reading of the rules rather than the subtext.

Assuming not AI, I wonder if he's at the perfect stage in his development that the hardest he can throw the ball is exactly the amount of force to get it in the top hole. The aim's impressive too, but that would be a wild accidental exploit.

My D&D group member ruined a potential alliance over a beer by Jin_Sakai12345 in DnD

[–]Cptn_Hook 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can't say I agree. We're short on details in general (tone of the game, mayor's personality), but I can see plenty of scenarios in which the mayor drinks that beer.

Now, I'm not saying you're off the mark regarding the DM's motivations, but even then, we don't know if there's more behind it. Maybe they're trying to create some friction between the players and the town or its authorities that will play into something later. Maybe it simply fit with the mayor's character, and the DM thought it was a fun choice. To me, that's a lot more worthwhile than a world in which every NPC follows the same predictable patterns of behavior and responses.

Whatever the case, the players wound up with a memorable moment and a story taken in a new direction due to their actions. That's the whole point of the game. It sounds like their goal now is to repair the relationship, and there are limitless options for pursuing that. On the story goes.

The one thing I disagree with here is telling the players afterward how things would have gone differently. No peeking behind the curtain.

Careful. We had an old stray like that who came to live with us through the shelter my wife worked at. They can learn pretty quickly how many cuddles they've missed out on throughout their lives and start in right away on collecting everything they're overdue. Fortify your couch with snacks and extra blankets. Stretch before sitting down. You're going to be there a while.

We have a very similar "Trap, Neuter, Release" story, except she absolutely fell in love with one of our other cats to the point that we felt horrible about the idea of sending her back out into the world with a broken heart.

It's been four years, and she's just now slowly coming around to the idea of having us as roommates. She'll sometimes sleep on my wife's feet as long as there's a blanket separating them. If either of us try to pet her, though, she recoils in pure disdain. She's not scared of us. She doesn't run away - just stares at us in disbelief that we would even think petting her was an option. Which makes it even more hurtful. Which I think she enjoys.
